Video: A Day Of Infamy
My Dad was born in Honolulu on December 15, 1938. My Grandpa, my Granny, my Dad, my Uncle, and other cousins and relatives have related to me many times over the years how they hid in my Grandpa’s basement the morning of December 7, 1941 after they saw the smoke and heard the planes.
They all got on a ship and moved to California in 1946.
Yesterday, December 7, 1941— a date which will live in infamy - -
Truer words were never spoken. I thank God, my fathers generation (Entire Generation) had the GUTS to see WWII through to the end - Victory at all cost.
December 7th, 2007 at 7:09 amTo the survivors of the war still with us, to the surviving soldiers family that we have lost since then - Thank you for ensuring our freedom. To the soldiers who gave all they had, my words are not good enough to express my gratitude and respect.
G-d Bless America … and keep her strong … and wake her up to the new enemy that would destroy us, the enemy outside and within.

So many of these men & women leave us everyday ,, if you know someone who was a part of this ,,talk to them ,,ask them where they were,,
ask them what was it like ,, to tell to your children or grandchildren so we may never forget
I miss Gramps’s stories everyday
God Bless America !!!
On behalf of my Father(Pacific-5 invasions) and his two Brothers.(Tech Seargants- Armoured Divisions - Sicily, Italy France Germany)
Your welcome.
December 7th, 2007 at 10:30 amThose were different time…
My father graduated highschool in 1942, immediately joined the army, was trained at Camp Bullis, shipped off to England to support the invasion of the French coast and was subsequently captured during the Bulge (at St Vith), mere miles from Malmady. He spent the rest of the war in a Stalag on the Czech border until they were liberated.
As soon as the US was attacked, men jumped at the chance to join the fight. Women, including my mother, spent the duration of the war working to make shell casings and other war materials to support the effort. People did whatever it took to see this thing through to victory.
It is sad to see what we have become since Sept 11, 2001. This country is now run by bleeding-heart, candy-asses that wouldn’t fight if they watched their families put to death before their very eyes. God help us all if the shit really hits the fan for we will truly be fucked.

Captured at St Vith. Kampfgruppe Pieper’s route!!!
So much for the Waffen SS being war criminals
My evil twin Hausser was right!!!!!!!!!!!
December 7th, 2007 at 11:15 amMy grandpa served in the Army in the Pacific, the leukemia that later killed him very young probably a result of exposure to any number of chemicals we were using to get the job done. If I was a liberal I’d have made a damning film about it, instead of joining the Army haha.

December 7th, 2007 at 12:15 pmI had to watch that video twice. That was quite a speach.
One Shot - those were different times.
It really is awesome how people came together then and did everything they could to support the troops, the President, and their country.
I wish we would hear that now. I wish even more that the people in this country would realize the disaster we are headed into should we not face our enemies head on as a nation like THE GREATEST GENERATION did. They gave so very much at every level of society.
Bash, thanks for posting this great vid and sharing what happened to your family during that time.
Thanks to all the veterans here for their service and sharing their background with us.
Thanks and Rememberance to THE GREATEST GENERATION!
