Video: NBC Refuses To Air Ad Thanking The Troops - “Too Controversial”
Since when did thanking the troops become “controversial”?
Since when did thanking the troops become “controversial”?
Be respectful of others and their opinions. Inflammatory remarks and inane leftist drivel will be deleted. It ain’t about free speech, remember you’re in a private domain. My website, my prerogative.
If you can't handle using your real email address, don't bother posting a comment.
Sure NBC.
Then why run this one? Or am I mistaken.

December 7th, 2007 at 11:28 amWow, turning down cold hard cash amidst a writers strike. If I was a GE stockholder I’d be a little pissed.
December 7th, 2007 at 12:03 pmLeft;
Uh, that’s a CBS ad, and it’s anti-Sheehan. And CBS refused it. Did NBC run it?
Did NBC run any MoveOn ads, or whatever? That would be what to look for.
December 7th, 2007 at 12:04 pmIt won’t put these assholes out of business, but every single person who appreciates our MILITARY HEROES should do everything possible to be sure that as many people as possible see this note.
December 7th, 2007 at 12:38 pmFor the number of people who support our MILITARY HEROES to quit watching this network, the advertisers will soon take notice.
The people running this fucking cowardly network should be put off the air, and this might be a good start.
I just cannot believe what some people in this country think of our MILITARY HEROES.
I echo the sentiment–when did supporting the military get to be controversial? Holy shit!
But don’t question their patriotism.
December 7th, 2007 at 12:48 pmI have already quit watching sunday night football, once they put that hell bound cocksucker olbermann on it.
that channel does not exist on my TV and has not for a while now, lots of other options to keep me busy, like being addicted to a pro military blog
December 7th, 2007 at 1:19 pmThe Military Channel is excellent!
December 7th, 2007 at 2:08 pmBrian it may be a CBS story but if you read the story you will see that NBC did run the controversial Sheehan ad.
Looks like it is time to start calling and writing to advertisers on NBC.
December 7th, 2007 at 2:33 pmSteve in NC - Right there with you. As soon as they bagan using that MOveOn.Org mouthpiece for football commentary I was done. As a disclaimer, I do watch “The Office”. It’s the last show I’ll watch from the Dead 3 (NBC, ABC, & CBS).
December 7th, 2007 at 2:34 pmHmmmm…. They don’t want to show this commercial then I don’t have to watch NBC/MSNBC or anything related to their Company. When you insult soldiers then you insult those who have died for your right to be a “A” hole NBC! I suggest a good way to hurt NBC is to stop watching there shows for a week or two and see how many sponsors will buy slots to play their commercials. Hurt them in the pocket book and you will see them change their minds

December 7th, 2007 at 4:05 pmU bin Warned … Please pass over my reply if you are ultra sensitive …
Since me pal Steve in NC already used “cocksucker” I am left to say:
Mother Fuckin’ Cunts!
December 7th, 2007 at 4:15 pmNBC sucks! And we ( Senior citizens center of Santa Cruz & Capitola, CaliF.)have just made a promise to our selves that we will no longer watch NBC or it’s affiliates. We here are standing by our troops. May God look out for the men & women who are helping to bring freedom & peace to the Iraq’s & others there that have never known freedon. We send them a happy holiday season and come home safe. And thanks for keeping us safe.
December 7th, 2007 at 4:42 pmHowie:
Thanks.
Brian H:
What Howie said.
December 7th, 2007 at 5:02 pmBottom line: NBC is officially against the war in Iraq, yet, they will insist they are objective, fair and balanced.
Liberals just cant be honest!
December 7th, 2007 at 5:47 pmThanking the troops became controversial the second the super-liberal left-wing media came to fruition, and to that I say fuck them all. FUCK THE MSM!
December 7th, 2007 at 10:53 pmThanking soldiers is not controversial-thanks soldiers.
December 8th, 2007 at 2:46 amNBC caved….but Boycott NBC/MSNBC AND THEIR ADVERTISERS anyway till after the new year just
as a reminder “we don’t like anyone disrespecting our troops” statement.
It had nothing to do with POLICY and everything to do with POLITICS.
