I loved that when I saw it on Futureweapons. Glad to see they fast tracked it. I hear they might bring back the dedicated grenadier.

@cclezel:

That's one of my favorites.

Interesting, though, that the Marine using the new launcher didn't like it, and would've rather used his rifle-mounted launcher.

I really do enjoy (if that's a good word here) these videos Pat and Bashman and others link to of actual war footage. The weapons and tech stuff mostly escapes me, so I depend on you guys' remarks on the subject matter at hand.

However, I am always struck by the troops, especially the Marines. I think many of us have this "larger than life" image of these young men when we read/hear about them ... and when we hold them close in the hearts of our pride and soul. Most of them do not look like weight lifters or pro-wrestlers, as Hollywood portrays them. What strikes me is that many, if not most, of them are built no bigger than the local high school cross country running team. I personally know a few Marines and this seems to be the case. I know, lean and mean makes the fighting machine. I do believe their biggest muscle is their heart(s) ... and nobody with huge biceps and triceps could ever match that strength, commitment, and endurance.

And a tattoo never looked prettier than displayed on the arm of one of our troops. :beer:
