Hypocritical NBC Forced To Do About-Face In “Thank The Troops” Ad They Banned
Remember the story yesterday about NBC yanking the Freedomswatch.org ad thanking the troops because it was “too controversial” and “too political”…
Well, how about a big “Fuck You, you hypocrites…why then, did you run the MoveOn.org ad a couple of years ago?”
NBC: “Well, um, our policies have to do with the website’s URL being in the ad and Freedomswatch.org’s website contains information that is too controversial in nature right now. The Iraq War is a deeply dividing issue.”
Louie: “Well, then why did you run MoveOn.org’s ad a couple of years ago, they fall into the same category, just on the wrong side?”
NBC: “Well, because they didn’t put their website’s URL in the ad…so it was ok. Watch the ad for yourself.”
Louie: “Excuse me? MoveOn.org, the anti-war anti-troop group didn’t have their URL in the ad?”
NBC: “Nope, not like Freedomswatch did, at the very end they had the website address there.”
Louie: “What do you think MoveOn.org is?”
NBC: “An anti-war organization. But their ad didn’t violate our policy by leaving the website URL of their group.”
Louie: “What do you think MoveOn.org is?”
NBC: “I just told you.”
Louie: “Not the group, just plain old MoveOn.org.”
NBC: “I’m not following you.”
Louie: “It’s a fucking website URL.”
NBC: “Oh…er…um…we’ll get back to you.”
Later on NBC Issued this statement:
“We have reviewed and changed our ad standards guidelines and made the decision that our policy will apply to content only and not to a referenced Web site. Based on these amended standards the Freedom’s Watch ad will begin to run as early as Sunday.”
Louie: “Gee, how nice.”
Ok, ok, Louie didn’t really talk to them….he’s a dead pig.
NBC still sucks anyway. Here’s Freedomswatch’s letter to NBC when they found out NBC was yanking their chain, er, ad.
And adding to the fun and the story:

December 9th, 2007 at 8:05 amThey’re not stupid, they’re in the backpockets of the Dhimis and other anti-war, anti-US orginizations. They’re all political whores for the Dhimis. They know exactly what they are doing. So, fuck em all. I’m done with them.
Dan
It could ALOT worse than you think with the MSM.
If you were killing Communists you wouldn’t even no what hit you.
This stuff is antiwar Old Milwaukee Lite
December 9th, 2007 at 11:23 amDon’t know why the ads were controversial-I found them to be very nice and patriotic.

December 9th, 2007 at 5:58 pmActually, the universe is unfolding as it should. Every one of these egregious gaffes and retractions and shamings makes the hypocrisy and manipulativeness of the media more and more obvious and undeniable. The “outings” are the 2×4 blows to the donkey’s forehead to get its attention.
