Islamic State Of Iraq “Defense Minister” Captured
Of course, we all know how AQI treated their prisoners, don’t we?
Bill Roggio posted in his Long War Journal today that the Iraqi Army claimed to have captured Ahmed Turki Abbas, who claimed to be the Minister of Defense of the Islamic State of Iraq aka Al Qaeda in Iraq.
I think it is a good thing that he is in the hands of the Iraqi Army, then our guys can “sit in” and “advise” on the interrogation and not have to worry about left wing bleeding heart liberals screaming “Torture!” when information is extracted from the prisoner.
Then again, the IA may have a few ways of their own when it comes to gathering information.
Ah, the beauty of alliances.
Check out Roggio’s post here.
Best yet, send them to visit the Kurds up north. They love that I hear tell.
