Side Note: Led Zeppelin Resurrected After 19 Years - Plays to 20,000
Yeah, it’s a little off our normal pathway around here, but Led Zeppelin has been blaring my fucking ears off for like, 35 years. They gave their first concert in 19 years and I wouldn’t be writing this if it had sucked. Every review, every article, every report I’ve heard all say the same thing.
They fucking kicked ass.
I heard some guy paid $168,000 for his tickets. Dude…buy a freakin’ house. But hey, “Fan” is short for “Fanatic”…waddayagunnadoaboudit?
Here’s to the Zep…it’s been a long time, been a long lonely lonely lonely lonely lonely time.
Bloomberg has a great write up.
Zeppelin is freakin awesome! i just got the 4 disc set the other day. rock on
December 10th, 2007 at 9:49 pmI told my wife I want that $99 download from iTunes of every Led Zeppelin song ever recorded for Christmas.
Did they bring their walkers onstage?
Sorry Bash I couldn’t resist.
December 10th, 2007 at 10:46 pmMy second year in Viet Nam I spent a lot, well, $1800 on this quadraphonic stereo. The same equipment would have cost me $3600 here in the States. That’s what they were called back in the early 70s, stone age surround sound. I got the largest speakers, each cabinet had a 15 inch woofer in it. Back then reel to reel tapes were the CDs of their day. Though I never saw Led Zeppelin live, the quad gave me, and unfortunately the neighborhood, a live performance everytime I turned it on. Well, not everytime and they only called the police on me twice.
December 10th, 2007 at 11:41 pmI would think we collectively already have every Led Zeppelin song ever recorded.
Plant/paige is the ONLY concert I would pay big bucks and deal with the f-ing people to go see.
December 11th, 2007 at 5:37 amXM has a LED Channel(55 I think)…all Zeppelin, all the time.
