This story is a couple years old (I believe) … I remember reading about it awhile back. There are other pictures connected with 2nd Lt. Cathey’s story.

This one actually won NPAA’s 1st Place in a 2006 Best of Photo Journalism Still Photography Award

Whenever I am reminded of the bravery and sacrifice of our troops and their families, the anger in me toward the Democrat traitors starts to boil. I cannot be held accountable for my actions should Pelosi, Reid, Murtha, Durbin, etc ever cross my path.

Don’t care if this picture is “old”. It was “new” to me. Makes your heart break.
Also, my deepest admiration for those Marines to make her wish come true, stay standing guard beside his body while she spends her last night together with hur husband.

I can’t think about any bigger gesture then falling asleep while marines keep an eye on you and your fallen loved one.
