Chinook Makes Rooftop Landing In Afghan Mountains
I know this picture is a couple of years old, but I ran across it today and as far as I have been able to tell via quick cursory Googling…this is an authentic picture taken in 2004.
Chinook…some people call it a Shithook…heh heh.
Now those are some piloting skills.
Professional, absolutely professional. Good hunting

Tried and true. And, did you know, it can outrun both the Apache and the Blackhawk.
January 3rd, 2008 at 11:32 amYou’re looking at a pic of one helluva pilot and crew. That’s a fine ass machine. I’ve taken many a ride in it.
When I was in AIT, the pilots could drop their chopper damn near on my head while I and my fellows sling-loaded one-oh-duces. Fooking awsome. Het that’s just par for the course for this crew. Nobody does it better than the US military.
Smart, professional bunch of kick-asses. Hoo-rah.

January 3rd, 2008 at 12:08 pmThere’s video recently of a spec ops pick up where the chinook pilot submerged the ass end into the water so an inflatable could be driven straight up into it. Fucking bad ass. I’ll try to link it.
