Video: UFOs Over Iraq? What Say You?

January 4th, 2008 Posted By The Bashman.

I say spy satellites, it seems they were seeing them without night vision as well, so obviously it was unusual to them.

    Cool looking whatever it is

  2. GBU43

You’ll notice there is a bright area on the ground directly underneath it..

  3. Birdddog

Looks like some sort of reflection. :???:

  4. jim

skylights/searchlights used to spot or signal aircraft

  5. DonnieB

ground lights shooting up thru clouds and prism like effect focusing them in an upward manner. remember what sun looks like when focusing it with a lens to start fire or fry ants when you were a kid. look familiar?

I’ve seen this phenomena before….it’s caused by lights on the surface of the ground that are reflected by a temperature inversion interface in the sky.

I’ve actually seen vehicle headlight pairs moving in the clouds like that……wierd!

IR beams most likely. Like the ones on an M4 or 16. But much bigger.

Come on, guys! … It’s Haji and his frat brothers lighting up their “swamp gas” with American made Bic Lighters on a hill top while Mohammad video tapes it for Iraqi Jack-Ass.

That, or Dennis Kucinich and his political entourage have arrived in Iraq to campaign with the troops …

It’s Al-shatain trying to contact haj for the big shindig in Iran for the 12th Iman’s reappearing. It’s party time for the mustifoons. Either that or Dennis The Menace is loose somewhere in Iraq and forgot to turn off his tin-foil
    antenna.

Seriously, it looks some sort of ground reflections from a light source. Maybe street lights, headlights or some other reflected man-made light source.

They are light pillars. Usually caused by the sun/moon low on the horizon with cloud layer above (ice crystals mainly). Can also form above above bright light sources on the ground such as in this video.

Somebody on the video mentions a red haze. when I was on the syrian border in Iraq I saw a red haze in the horizon that lit up the sky at night. I asked some of the Iraqi translators who lived on base what it was (I thought it was some sort of industrial pollution or giant explosion somewhere) and they were disinterested. One of them said “This is not unusual, this is Iraq!”. I guess in the desert all sorts of light refracting tricks and shit happen. I never saw glowing vertical beams in the sky though.
