Those people need to be beat for sleeping on duty.
However, I do have to say that in watching the short clips in that some of it seemed…. odd.
Such as one guy seeming to have his head on his hand. There is no way he could be asleep and still be in that position.
Also the rubber neck guy… I can’t put my finder on it, but something didn’t seem right about his movements for being asleep or almost asleep in my opinion.
Regardless, I would say anyone on guard at a place like this should never be asleep and should certainly be punished for sherking their duties.
January 4th, 2008 at 4:48 pmI am sure they get a hansome hourly wage for their duties as a guard.
Why aren’t tasks developed to keep their fat asses up and moving about.
The management of this crew needs to be fired and these lazy bastards need retraining and if they don’t respond then hire someone willing to do the job.
January 4th, 2008 at 5:23 pmYeah, let’s tell the world about our lax security at nuke plants. Fooking brilliant dipshits.
Fire the lot of them. Hire ex-military people who are used to gurad duty and patrolling. Get supervisors who are used to walk around inspections. NCO’s trust but verify. Get a few and put them on the job.
January 4th, 2008 at 5:31 pmthen again Dan it could all be a sham. I agree somewhat with Trindam, in that some of this just looks like people faking being asleep for the camera, just fooking around, and we think it’s for real. What if the ruse is to make it appear that security is laxed in order to lure them into the open and then taking them down? If war is deception (taqiq) then others can do it too. Take your chances goat-fucker.
January 4th, 2008 at 6:39 pmUnion jobs I suspect.
Are they just on their lunch break, or are they lazy fuck ups?
The “anonyms” film maker never says, and is never asked.
If they’re fuck ups I disagree with the Bashman on the instrument of punishment only.
The Roman army had the perfect punishment for just this type of incompetence.
Decimation.
Platoon set at attention, in a single line formation shoulder to shoulder.
Platoon leader walks the length, singling out every tenth man.
The nine men before each selected soldier beat the tenth man to death.
Message received by entire platoon, discipline restored .
January 4th, 2008 at 6:50 pmNo one in the platoon will fuck up, or allow another to fuck up like that again.
Brutal? Yes.
Effective? Yes.
I would bet these guys are off duty officers for a local law enforcement agency. They are so under paid for putting up with the public that this is the only job the will get a good salary for light duty work. The real failure is most plants would pay for a full time independent staff. They will contract a group that hires bodies, without concern that the worker is working two or three jobs. Truck drivers have better controls for there working hours.
January 4th, 2008 at 7:05 pmBefore you shot someone let find out the truth, remeber this was a CBS report.
Homer Simpson lives.
Fooking idiots.
January 5th, 2008 at 7:56 amTrindam, I agree. this looks like some kind of a goofy re-enactment or something.
January 5th, 2008 at 10:31 amHeheh lax……I challange you so much as trying to enter any Nuclear plant in the United States with so much as a shirt that you wore shooting the day before…..a bunch of hype.
Some guys screwed up, but it looks like a break room to me……with out more context it’s hard to say what the actual situation was or what any of this means…..but you always have guys around plants patrolling and they would see anyone attempting to get near the plant and notify those guys long before they could gain entrance…..
Nuke plants are still living in the cold war, I do not beleive even a seal team could gain entrance before it was locked down.
