Republican Debate Tonight: Will Wallace Grill Ron Paul Regarding His Newsletter?
The guys over at The New Republic have been doing a lot of digging, and it would appear that Ron Paul (surprise!) has turned out to be this conspiracy theorist, KKK, racist.
It will be worth watching the debate just for that line of questioning. There will be video. heh heh…
For a good, quick rundown, Sultan Knish has it. Here is an excerpt:
After quotes and copies from Ron Paul’s newsletters appeared in The New Republic, Ron Paul once again trotted out the old tale that he had no idea the newsletters had any racist and crackpot conspiracy theory material in them and that a mysterious person had been responsible for writing racist things in them without him knowing about them.
Now let’s look at the extracts from the newsletters that have been released, specifically let’s look at December 1990…
The newsletter calls Martin Luther King a Communist pedophile, Ron Paul has countered that he has a great deal of respect for MLK. And then we scroll down the newsletter to discover the mysterious author of this newsletter at the very bottom as he writes;
My wife Carol and our children and grandchildren join me in wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. May we start to confound the plans of the Trilateralists and other big government types making America freer, and thus truer to her own heritage in 1991.
A better question, is he aware of Rhue Paul’s newsletter? Nah, he’ll soft peddle the old codger and let him run his mouth on other issues…Paul is already dead in the water as a candidate anyways. He’ll eventually drop out after maybe some therapy and maybe changing his meds….or because he hasn’t any more money.
What % of the votes has he gotten so far? 3% ???
LOL…
Bah-bye Rhue Paul….
January 10th, 2008 at 10:54 amIt was just another ridiculous smear attempt by the neocons. And he has a lot more than 3% of the vote even with the media not giving him attention and vote fraud in the NH primaries. Wake up everybody, people love his message. He is the only candidate who wants to protect our liberties. You are letting the government steal your liberties and for what? I used to be a huge supporter of this site and the war but after doing research i woke up. As a proud soldier of the United States Army i support Ron Paul for 2008. By the way Ron Paul has the most supporters and donations from Americas armed forces. Please wake up and save this country.

I’d like to see that research. The person that needs to wake up is Ron Paul. In this war, in this world, it’s kill or be killed. I say kill every hajji that wishes “Death to America”. Ron Paul speaks of the decline of the “American Empire”, much like the fate that befell the Roman Empire; yet he also fails to mention that once the Romans tried defending their borders alone, without confronting their enemies in their respective homelands, they got the Goths and the Huns shoved right down their throats.
How can you trust a candidate that is endorsed by CAIR members to protect our liberties? CAIR along with their fellow travelers the ACLU, are one the most insidious organizations that oppress every day Americans, and crush examples the very Freedom of Speech that they find “offensive”.
January 10th, 2008 at 4:34 pmHmm, I find it funny to see a former soldier be gung ho for Ron Paul. Ron on many occassions has stated that war is NEVER the answer.
Now I agree we need to give other things a try first, but to completely rule out war regardless is idiocy. As a former soldier I would expect you to understand that sometimes it is needed.
Also you say he stands up for our liberties? Hmm, I guess it depends on your angle. I know I’ve checked him out. He has some good ideas but he also has ideas that will infringe upon liberties I currently enjoy.
Personally I will never vote for a two face coward like Ron Paul here.
You also mention that you “use to be” a supporter of this website… You starting to be bought by the lies and half truths given by the MSM and other conspirousy theory sites that have to make up and modify evidence in order to make their stories even seem accurate?
You don’t see that kind of stuff here.
January 10th, 2008 at 4:35 pm“People love Pauls’s message?” LOL Now that’s funny. Which people would that be? The 3% who support him? I’m still laughing…(Cue the Twilight Zone theme will ya Pat or Bash)
Seriously, I saw an article on this on CNN. If CNN is talking about it, the chances are pretty good, that it will come up in the debate.
“People love Paul’s message”…Bwahahahaha…that’s a good one.. You should write for Leno…God knows he could use some new material….
January 10th, 2008 at 5:05 pmI am currently serving in the US Army in which i took an oath to defend the CONSTITUTION of the United States. As we all know the war in Iraq is unconstitutional which is why i do not support it. Ron Paul is the only candidate who will actually protect our liberties and our constitution. I love this country and i can tell all of you do as well or you would not be on here. People are indeed waking up to his message of true patriotism and freedom. Why is it that Ron Paul has the most support and donations from our troops? And you and i know that he clearly has more than 3% of the vote. For A. S. Wise, Ron Paul speaks of the decline of the “American empire” only to show why it is declining, which is because (as some of us have forgotten) America was founded as a REPUBLIC. what happened to the Republic? For Trindam, if you can give me info on Paul infringing on our liberties let me know. From the candidates running right now there is no better man to preserve our liberties. If you do have any info i would def look into it and very much so respect your opinion. As we all know there is a lot of propoganda thrown out there and we search to get the facts. There is no greater country than this one that our founding fathers established. My brothers and sisters, i wont let this country fail us. We may have our differences on the issues but at least we actually care and try to make a difference in this country. America will always prevail.
