Finished a 24 hour work day which included an awesome screening for some major Republican heavyweights on 100″ screen home theater. Everyone was blown away, and several are looking to help add to the Showtime budget for music, etc. Expect a big media YA/Pat Dollard push shortly.
Dennis Prager and Michael Medved will soon be taking peeks.
The audience was a bit stunned, just as I wanted. They were all major behind-the-scenes players. And they have now dedicated themselves to helping me get the press whirlwind ( and music licensing money ) going.
One gentlemen, who shall remain nameless, told me I was great inspiration and another that it was an honor to meet me. One guy when he first met me, said, “You’re Pat Dollard? You’re a cool guy!” I’m just an a screwed-up average slob who happens to believe in something worth fighting and dying for, so it’s kinda surreal when I get that kind of treatment. I’m just doing the best I can with what I got.
Everyone was deeply moved and excited that our troops were finally being given the right treatment, but in a raw, harshly true way that you just don’t get from some of the more “clean cut”, say Hannity Repub types, who bless their hearts, bring a certain wonderful but overly sanitized view to what’s really going on over there. The grittiest truth can be shown while still making it clear that our troops are the best of their generation and true heroes. This is what I’m trying to do. As a couple of people last night said, “People will subscribe to Showtime just for this” and “This will become classic water-cooler TV”.
It’s hard to watch, but everyone has asked me to tell the truth. As one person who saw this has said in a reivew, warning an America that wants to see the truth of the Iraq war and the Young American heroes who fight it, “Be careful what you wish for.”
The screening was hosted by David Houston at his awesome four story house on the cliffs above Malibu. David is a true patriot and great American, and owns some legendary L.A. eateries like “Barney’s Beanery” where the likes of Jim Morrison and Janis Joplin used to eat, drink, pass, and get thrown, out.
After a solid 24 1/2 hours work, I boarded a plane to Dallas to spend some time with Ms. Julie Shumney. Nobody needs to ask no questions.
If any of my Texas friends and supporters would like to meet at the W hotel this evening for a cocktail or two, just email me or give a ring on the YA business cell phone line 310 927-6941.
What’s the best places to get and shoot guns here?
Pat, Congrats on the great screening!!! In the Dallas Ft Worth area, I buy all my sidearms at either Cheaper than dirt (2522 NE Loop 820 Fort Worth, TX 76106 (817) 625-7171) or Cabela’s (12901 Cabela DR Fort Worth, Texas 76177). They both have a fine assortment of weapons to choose from with really great prices. Neither have a shooting range, but I frequent Winchester Gallery 6062A E Lancaster Fort Worth, TX 76112 817-496-9900) or Bass Pro Shop in Grapevine (2501 Bass Pro Drive Grapevine, TX 76051 Phone: 972-724-2018)

The Cabela’s in PHX is the shit, too. Place is a like a theme park of weapons and gear. There’s actually a fake mountain with fake animals shootig up through the middle. Good deals on gun safes there, too.
The Scottsdale Gun Club is like the male version of a day spa. Can spend hours there on “therapy”.
Thanks for the tips, will make the rounds.

Thank G O D! We need some heavies to throw in some real coin! I am just a workin’ stiff that does not have cable and have not gotten it because I would rather donate money to programs for our guys that are injured and/or to your site Pat. (It really has been an either or situation and quite difficult but absolutely worth every penny that I could contribute. To be a part of this in my very small way is an honor.)
“The grittiest truth can be shown while still making it clear that our troops are the best of their generation and true heroes.”
F-Yeah! It is the only way to give an accurate as close to real life experience to people. All the reporting and stories in the world are great things for those of us who seek them out and actually read them, especially from the best, {Dollard, Yon, Roggio, Totten, Sanchez, etc . . .} but the media that gets the MOST attention in our very visual society is film/movies. To reach that many people it is the only way to have a “in your face” {for good and worthy reasons - our guys and the truth!} impact.
I am so glad this is really taking off now in a big way for you Pat. You have given it everything you have got and more and you deserve the backing and all the success it can bring.
I can’t wait to be able to see it on Showtime! I will be at a friend’s house to watch. {I may need to sleep there too after watching it. I am quite sure it will leave me a bit shook up.}
God bless all our heroes for all their service and sacrifice past, present, and future! They are the real men among men and should be given so much more respect and support than what they have had during so many conflicts all through history. Pat, you are going to propel that support for them forward in a HUGE and permanent way!
All I can say is thank you and God bless you.
January 12th, 2008 at 9:29 amCongrats man!
Let us know when it will be out, and we’ll gather the PD crew in Northern VA and have a video Party…booze, chicks, and real F-ing video. I am very happy for you Pat, getting a few big-wigs behind this will only help your cause. I am glad to see how things are working out…I know you’ve got to be f-ing happy! Tired, but happy!
We’re trying to spread the word, and in this case, spreading the word is not enough…
I personally am telling F*&%ing EVERYONE about this!
Hell yeah Pat, keep it up!
Go Easy,
Pitt Bull (GOE IV hitting DC soon…)
