Talk about the kettle calling the pot black. The democrat party has a long and impressive record of racism and the recent grotesque display by the top candidates should be of no surprise.

Those skilled dealers of the race card, the democrat party have shown their hand once again. The democrat nomination has broken down to Clinton Inc. vs. Obama, and with many polls showing that ‘upstart’ Obama threatening the accession of Hillary, the card has to be played. Pandering to the base is often seen in the primaries, and Clinton Inc. is dealing from the bottom of the deck.

From the mouth of Hillary:

“I would point to the fact that that Dr. King’s dream began to be realized when President Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964, when he was able to get through Congress something that President Kennedy was hopeful to do, the President before had not even tried, but it took a president to get it done. That dream became a reality, the power of that dream became a real in people’s lives because we had a president who said we are going to do it, and actually got it accomplished.”

Certainly the white leadership of the democrat party was responsible for the passage of such an important and landmark civil rights bill. Certainly not that dreamer Mr. King, he could only dream, but it took the good white folk of the democrat party to bestow basic rights upon the poor hapless blacks in America.

Unfortunately for Clinton, history does not agree with her. President Kennedy did propose the legislation in 1963, but that was after not doing anything for civil rights for the first two years of his administration. It appears to many historians that he was following a rising popular opinion among Americans that it was time to enact such a bill. That hardly can be considered a leadership roll. Also as Senator in 1957 Kennedy chose not to vote for the first civil rights bill in 82 years, but voted to return it to the Senate Judiciary Committee, where it would hopefully waste away.

The vote record for the 1964 civil rights bill shows that the Republican party voted in an overwhelming majority for passage. In the Senate 77.8% for and in the House 76.4% for. Contrast that to the democrats vote record. Only 54.4% of the democrats in the Senate voted for passage while in the house an insulting 36.8% voted for passage.

The comment that “the President before had not even tried” is another bold faced distortion of the facts. In 1957 the first civil rights legislation since reconstruction was put forth by Eisenhower, a Republican President. Unfortunately it was defeated by a democrat filibuster, and a filibuster which is the longest in history; a proud achievement for the democrats to be sure. Later a watered down version was passed, but only after enough weakening to appease the democrats.

The 1964 civil rights bill was opposed by a filibuster also. That dean of the Senate, KKK member and democrat, Senator Robert C. Byrd held forth for 14 hours and 13 minutes before surrendering to the vote.

Oh yes that great democrat Senator, Mr. Robert Byrd. Who in his illustrious career he achieved such titles as Kleagle and Exalted Cyclops. For those of you not known to wear a sheet, the Kleagle is a recruiter for the KKK, and the elected leader of a Klu Klux Clan chapter is reverently known a the Exalted Cyclops.

Let’s enjoy some of the wisdom found in the words of Robert Byrd.

I think those problems are largely behind us … I just think we talk so much about it that we help to create somewhat of an illusion. I think we try to have good will. We just need to work together to make our country a better country, and I’d just as soon quit talking about it so much.”

“Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.”

His support of black Americans includes voting against the only two blacks to be nominated to the Supreme Court, Thurgood Marshall and Clarence Thomas.
Those votes make sense considering FDR nominated klansman Hugo Black to the Supreme Court. History shows the democrats are at home with the KKK.

The Ku Klux Klan, which was formed by democrats in Pulaski, Tennessee, in 1865. It was created to weaken the political power of southern blacks and members of the Republican party; so that white supremacy could still have control in American society after the civil war. The democrats have the great legacy of forming the largest and most deadly domestic terrorist group to attack the United States of America.

The 1924 democrat national convention is known as the ‘Klanbake Convention’ because of the large number of klansmen in attendance, and they finished what is considered the largest klan gathering in history with a cross burning.

The history of opposition to civil rights by the democrats seems endless.

Exam Congressional records and it will reveal that it was democrats that strongly opposed the passage of the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments. These three Amendments were introduced by Republicans to abolish slavery, give citizenship to all African Americans born in the United States and, give Blacks the right to vote.

Congressional records also show that democrats were opposed to passing the following laws that were introduced by Republicans to achieve civil rights for African Americans:

democrats supported the Dred Scott decision which classified blacks as property and not citizens.

The Republican Party was founded in 1854 in part to fight the expansion of slavery by the Kansas-Nebraska act. It’s first Presidential nominee was John C. Freemont who’s campaign slogan “Free soil, free labor, free speech, free men” is telling of the philosophy of the newly formed party.

The first Republican President was Abraham Lincoln, who led the union in victory against the slave holding states.

It was President Eisenhower who pushed through the first civil rights bill for 82 years, sent troops to desegregate schools in Arkansas and appointed Chief Justice Earl Warren to the
U.S. Supreme Court which resulted in the 1954 Brown vs. Board of Education decision ending school segregation.

Richard Nixon’s Philadelphia Plan created affirmative action to counter the harm caused to blacks when democrat President Woodrow Wilson in 1912 kicked all of the blacks out of federal government jobs. (unfortunately affirmative action has now been turned into an unfair quota system)

George Herbert Walker Bush nominates Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court, the second African-American to sit on the bench.

Today under George W. Bush, black students are leading the gains in education performance since the ‘no child left behind’ act. In particular fourth-grade reading, more progress was made from 2000 to 2005 (up 6 points) than from 1992 to 2000 (down 4 points), driven by gains among African American students (up 10 points). Minority home ownership is at an all time high, following Bush’s programs designed to increase ownership by 5.5 million families by 2010. Black owned business are up by 45%; with the rate of small business ownership jumping four and a half times faster than the national average. The gap between white and black unemployment is at an all time low. These are gains that show real tangible improvement by the
African-American community, not a simple debilitating handout from a big government transfer of wealth.

The first black Secretary of State, Colin Powell, was appointed by Bush. That was followed by the appointment of Condoleezza Rice.

Sadly they have been referred to as uncle toms and aunt jemimas by many who call themselves democrats.

I wonder who really is the uncle tom in all this, I think it appears to be Obama himself. He certainly backed down to the white leadership of the party. He must know his place in his party of racial division.

To think otherwise would really require a willing suspension of disbelief.
