AP News Alert: Actor Heath Ledger Found Mysteriously Dead, Cops Think Drugs
NEW YORK (AP) - Heath Ledger was found dead Tuesday at a downtown Manhattan residence in a possible drug-related death, police said. He was 28.
NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said Ledger had an appointment for a massage at the Manhattan apartment believed to be his home. The housekeeper who went to let Ledger know the masseuse was there found him dead at 3:26 p.m.
The Australian-born actor was an Oscar nominee for his role in “Brokeback Mountain” and has numerous other screen credits.

It’s amazing how you can have it all going for you, getting the jobs you want in a hard field, big money, looks, girlfriend, child, and still be just a depressed heroin addict, until it’s too late, and you die. Dead at 28. I like the way the Hollywood press covered up the fact he was a heroin addict. Maybe if they “outed” him, there would have been more pressure to clean up his act. I don’t know if not giving him the jobs because he was a heroin addict would have been worst than giving him the jobs…
