Fox News Contradicts AP On Romney
Fox News:
Mitt Romney plans to buy TV ads in California and other Super Tuesday states, contradicting earlier (AP ) reports that he was avoiding a costly campaign on Feb. 5, when 21 states hold Republican primaries and caucuses.
As Romney seeks to topple John McCain’s momentum coming out of his win in the Florida primary and a host of big-name endorsements, he said in Long Beach Thursday that he’s authorized a seven-figure advertising buy.
He said that even though he can’t flood the airwaves in every state, “given the number of states going at the same time, this is a time where our message to the main purveyors of information in the world is the best way for us to get our message out.”

Go Mitt, you’ve got my vote.
January 31st, 2008 at 5:43 pmMitt Romney’s problem is that while he says the right things, it is hard for me to believe that he really means it. I want to vote for him, don’t get me wrong, because I don’t like a lot of what McCain has done over the years. But I have to tell you that when I listen to him talk and look at his eyes, I see a man who is not being himself. The old saying that goes “the eyes are the windows of the soul” still hold true. His eyes tell a different story than the words coming out of his mouth. I will probably end up voting for McCain as the best possible choice among what is available because I want a Republican to win. I am not convinced that Mitt Romney would do well in the general election even if he secured the Republican nomination, and that is not acceptable. And as far as the illegal immigration issue goes, McCain is no different than Bush, and so if McCain were President we would have the very same battles with McCain on illegal immigration that we had with Bush. If Bush were deemed acceptable in spite of the fact everyone knew what he believed on illegal immigration back in 2000 and 2004, then McCain surely should get a pass on that issue too.
January 31st, 2008 at 6:14 pmi can’t believe people have been dumbed down so much in this country and can’t see what their choices are. we have 3 communist canidates and one semi-capitalist canidate in this race. i guess we’re following rome and this is the beginning of the end. we recovered from carter but i don’t think we’ll recover from 4 to 8 years of mccain, obama, or hillary.
