Just got up, finally giving my eye the heads-down treatment it needs. See the Dr. again tomorrow for update. Let me take a look at the world and get back to everybody.

Chad’s right. Back to bed.

How creepy will that “Rehab” song be if Amy Winehouse ends up dead?
Nice to see Iraq finally woke up to the idea that a new flag would be quite suitable for a post-Saddam era.

The entire five or six days I’ve been recovering, I’ve had no tv around me, which has been kind of interesting. None of the usual political chatter constantly driving into my head. But I’ve felt in no way disconnected - the internet works.

Fred is dead. It would appear that Conservatism, at least in the embodiment of a Presidential candidate, has passed with him. We’re now the middle-of-the-road party. Dangerous place to be. Better to drive on your side of the highway.
the world is still ugly, dude.
January 22nd, 2008 at 10:44 amI was hoping Fred would do well. I have my own thoughts about why the republicans and more importantly conservatism have been hurt in the last 7 or 8 years but I’ll keep them to myself. I will say conservatives need to take back the schools from liberals or it’s over folks.
As for the new Iraqi flag, I’d love it if it had red, white, and blue in it.
January 22nd, 2008 at 1:38 pmYeah Freds dropout of the race really tells the tale. True conservativism is in trouble in this country. Dont get me wrong, people themselves still believe in this theory, they just wont vote that way because of the fear we cant win.
Oh and i like the edit your comment feature Pat. great idea!
January 22nd, 2008 at 3:25 pmKurt - yea, i figgered there’s enough people bitchin about messed up comments, so i might as well look into it. Only problem, is that it doesnt show when it first loads, so you gotta refesh the page to see your edit button. at least, thats how its been on firefox.
January 23rd, 2008 at 8:22 amBut didn’t it take Ronnie twice to get the nomination?..Ford beat him out the first time. Maybe the country will eventually come ’round…Fred has the right ideas, but the personality needs a bit of a tune up. Don’t get me wrong, he’s walking the walk, but Ronnie had that infectious, upbeat personality. One of his favorite jokes was “The pony in the dung heap”…read it, and remember there is a pony in there somewhere.
