Middle-eastern illegal aliens nabbed in Mississippi

A Mississippi-based immigration activist is appalled that potential terrorists were among a group of illegal aliens apprehended by federal agents in a sting operation along Interstate 20 in the Magnolia State.
Operation Uniforce was conducted during a two-week period this month by a special Border Patrol task force targeting I-20 because federal agents believe it is a new corridor for smugglers to ferry illegal aliens to the East Coast. A similar operation was conducted on I-10 last year at Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Mobile, Alabama. According to the Border Patrol, greater scrutiny of the I-10 corridor prompted smugglers to move further inland to I-20 — which is 800 miles from the Mexican border.

The victims’ and the defendant’s loved ones filled the courtroom Thursday, expecting Eduardo Raul Morales-Soriano to be sentenced to prison for the crash that killed a Marine corporal and his date Thanksgiving night 2006 in Columbia.
Howard County Circuit Judge Lenore R. Gelfman had accepted a guilty plea in September from Morales-Soriano, an illegal immigrant from Mexico whose blood-alcohol level at was four times the legal limit at the time of the crash, authorities have said. And prosecutors said then that they would ask for an eight-year sentence.
But many of those family members gasped when Gelfman announced Thursday that she had rejected the plea agreement and instead ordered a trial.

This guy got drunk, in a country he had no business being in, got into a car and rammed another car killing people and the prosecutor made a deal for 8 years?
I don’t blame the judge for rejecting it. That guy should hang. Barring that, 20-life seems appropriate.
Then this:
Morales-Soriano had been previously charged in other driving-related incidences in Prince George’s and Howard counties, including one in which he refused a Breathalyzer test. But none of those cases resulted in convictions.
They didn’t result in convictions? W-T-F? Let’s see…
The guy was here illegally. The guy probably had no license, if he did it was a fake. Without a license he could not have had any insurance. He’s been pulled over for driving drunk before but refuses the test, and walks? Without a license, how does that happen?
What really makes me want to stab myself in the eye with a fork is the fact that it took a murder to get this guy off our streets.
What message is government really sending us? No laws….you’re all on your own out there. Then along comes Joe Horn and they want to go after him, for STOPPING, not one but TWO crimes. It’s all very confusing.
I guess the message is, do whatever the hell you want. If you get caught, use your one phone call to give the ACLU a buzz. They seem to enjoy fighting for lawlessness.
