6:53 A.M.
Vacuous empty rhetoric ( America will be better under me, no reasons given ) , blather about uniting everyone ( no Red States, no Blue States, just one America ) followed by bashing all right wing principles = this was Obama’s speech last night.
It’s not about chatter ( America will be better under me, no reasons given beyond the vaguery of “change” ), it’s about specifics on policy and one’s underlying philosophy which guides it. We heard the same exact empty rhetoric from the Democrats during the midterms, and because their underlying philosophy and its resulting policies do not work for America and are out of step with most Americans, we are now suffering under a failed Congress. Obama will not help America in any way simply because his name is not Bush, and he is a Democrat. For both of those reasons Obama will damage America, because he is really no different from Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, John Edwards, et. al. He is a socialist.
Talk of him having the vision and strength to lead America anywhere it needs to go is a joke.
Huckabee: 60% of Iowa caucus voters identified themselves as “evangelical” Christians.
JANUARY 5
I didn’t write anything today because I was too busy. Will be back on my game tomorrow.
I don’t know about anyone else but I just don’t get this “change” thing the democrats are always yacking about … AND, when I hear them shouting their mantra of “change” it makes me want to reach for a gun and The Flag.
I mean, the only thing that can possibly be “changed” in this country (that THEY could be talking about) is the Constitution Of the United States. The rest is pretty much NOT under government control … hence, the “change” mongering dem candidates couldn’t possibly have much of an effect on anything … unless their intent is to be the American version of Hugo Chavez … hmmm.
January 4th, 2008 at 10:04 amThe ‘change’ is anything but Bush and the Republicans. The vilified right is the reason for anything not being a utopian perfection. Anything you see, hear, touch, breath, think and feel that is less then perfect, it is because of the evil Republicans. Change will bring us a glassy eyed euphoria where all is shiny and bright.
January 4th, 2008 at 10:50 amRemember, Iowa gave Pat Robertson the nod too. Not the most reliable bunch up there. Subsidized ethanol addiction can be very messy. We move on.
January 4th, 2008 at 1:08 pmWouldn’t follow them across the street.
January 4th, 2008 at 2:31 pmI for one think we have it pretty good in this country right now. ‘Change’ means we become even more socialist, even more at the mercy of enemies both foreign and domestic. Great analysis, Pat!
January 4th, 2008 at 3:06 pm“Talk of him having the vision and strength to lead America anywhere it needs to go [is a joke]”
Amen to that
January 4th, 2008 at 5:43 pmObama is a stupid bitch. I cant stand his ugly monkey face.
January 4th, 2008 at 6:42 pm“Change” and “hope” mean… I don’t have to talk about any real issues. I just have to bash Bush, because the MSM has already paved that path, and all I have to do is say change is gonna come if you elect me. No foundation, no platform no real issues.
What cracks me up is he keeps talking about Marain Luther King like he relates to black America. When his African father split when he was a toddler, and he was raised by a white woman and her white parents, for heaven’s sake. Who is fooled by this chit? You watch though… if Hillary keeps suckin’hind tit… there will be more racial issues brought out by her camp, cause she is a bitch like that. I can’t wait for the claws. It’s gonna be awesome!
January 4th, 2008 at 7:50 pmIf this super egotistic superior HNIC wins, we have had it. I for one, will not acknowledge him. look at him, listen to him or anything else and I hope I have a lot of company. I did it with Clinton and it really is quite easy. He has the least of any qualities of anyone running. Americans are suckers. After they obliterate Iraq and all that crap comes over here, maybe the dummies will get it. I can just see Jesse and Al and Rangel etc as the cabinet. He will not bring anyone together; he will polarize it even more. Don’t forget the filthy remarks these lefties have heaped on our Prez, I won’t.
January 4th, 2008 at 10:44 pmI wonder of obama has ever been to Fort Marcy Park?
January 5th, 2008 at 10:31 amWasnt Fort Marcy where they found Vince Foster?
I agree with you 100% Pat. Dems are shit! i wouldnt vote for a dem if someone had a gun to my head. Joe Lieberman on the other hand as an independent, i would love to see him as vice president. Good man, didnt deserve to be with that pack of commies as long as he was
January 5th, 2008 at 10:48 amOsama Obama has a nice booming voice. The ideal voice for a D.I. to have. But the pussy doesn’t have the same kind of dedication and comittment to this country that most D.I’s do. So all he’s left with is a big mouth with nothing to say worth hearing.
January 5th, 2008 at 10:52 amChange? Really? Simply change? As in what type of light bulb the dems in Congress will allow me to screw in my lamp?
January 5th, 2008 at 12:52 pmOr change in the sexual or racial orientation of the candidate? Isn’t that a tad sexist or racist coming from such a self-proclaimed “progressive” bunch?
Or change in leadership? Isn’t that going to happen in ‘08 regardless of which side wins? I was almost certain the Constitution prohibits a sitting President from seeking a third term.
Regardless, I looked up synonyms for change and unsurprisingly ‘good’ was not listed - wasn’t even in the definition of change.
So what’s the dems point? Are the dems afraid to tell us what exactly it is they so desperately want to change?
I’ve heard ramblings about cutting and running at warp-speed from Iraq and that might work for their deranged dem base but not going to win the general election for them.
Spare the change rhetoric and just tell us what you want to take away next. That way I will have ample time to know just what to stock up on besides incandescent lightbulbs in case one of you freaks gets elected. So what’s big dem socialist brother going after next? My gasoline? My junk food? My cigars? My Ammo?
@Phil N
“Change” …
As in: All you’ll have left over from your pay check after democrat taxes … IF you’re lucky.

He also lacks something else a Drill Instructor has: Balls.
January 5th, 2008 at 9:10 pmSpeaking of Drill Instructors, I’m shipping to boot Monday. According to the MCRDSD website, I’m going to be with 3rd Battalion, Lima Company. How do they determine which platoon you’re going to be with? (I’m talking to any Marines here)
January 5th, 2008 at 9:19 pmAhh, a Hollywood Marine, eh. When I went to Parris Island, they just stuck us all in a platoon and sent us all over to 3rd Bn H Co. We were the last platoon to form of 4 in the company. Lotsa luck and Semper Fidelis!
