Quote Of The Day: Rush Limbaugh On Bill Clinton
Rush…heh heh…
“We’ve gone from Bull Connor to Bull Clinton.”
For those who may not get it, Bull Connor in Wiki:
Theophilus Eugene “Bull” Connor (July 11, 1897, Selma, Alabama – March 10, 1973) was a police official in the Southern U.S. city of Birmingham, Alabama during the American Civil Rights Movement. He was a member of the Ku Klux Klan, and a staunch advocate of racial segregation.
As the Public Safety Commissioner of Birmingham, Alabama, in the 1960s, Connor became a symbol of bigotry. He infamously fought against integration by using fire hoses and police attack dogs against unarmed, nonviolent protest marchers. The spectacle of this being broadcast on national television served as one of the catalysts for major social and legal change in the South and helped in large measure to assure the passage by the United States Congress of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; thus Connor’s tactics dramatically backfired into helping to bring about the very change that he was opposing.

And remember, Bull Connor was a democrat

January 28th, 2008 at 1:02 pmI can just see Obama and Al Sharpton going for a walk in Fort Marcy Park..
January 28th, 2008 at 1:44 pmAir “accidents” have helped the Clintonionis avoid a lot of trouble too.
January 28th, 2008 at 2:19 pmAnything’s possible. For the Klintons, money literally DOES grow on trees…and they’ve got several orchards of money trees. If a Republican said or did some of the outrageous things the Klintons have said or done, it would be front page news and the end of that politician’s career. They might even go down in history as a second Nixon.
