Stormin’ Norman Schwarzkopf To Endorse McCain Today
Word is out that Gen. Norman Schwarzkopz, architect of the Desert Storm annihilation of Saddam’s army back in ‘91, will endorse John McCain for President today.
Stay Tuned for video.
Anyone else remember his “End Around, Hail Mary” strategy explanation?
Tons of respect for the General but there ain’t no way I will every vote for McCain. This prompts me to send a donation to Romney.

January 23rd, 2008 at 8:39 amIf elected, McCain will spend the next four years executing the war in a manner to be able to achieve victory. He has proven countless times that he is willing to sacrifice personally for this country and I expect that he would make tough decisions based on the best interest of this country, even if it leads to him being a one term President. In the next four years, those are the decisions that are going to have to be made if we want to achieve the success necessary in this endeavor which so many service members have sacrificed in this war so far. Victory is possible with solid leadership. General Schwartzkopf knows this. That is the only thing that matters at this time.

January 23rd, 2008 at 10:17 amMy sentiments exactly brother.
While I truly appreciated the leadership of General Schwartzkopf during Desert Storm, his opinion means less than nothing to me. McCain is an open border amnesty advocate going so far as to call those of us who want our border shut down and the illegals deported racists and bigots. I don’t trust him and will not vote for him.

Kboom - Not trying to be argumentative but for my enlightenment —
Please list some of the “countless times” that McCain has proven he is/was willing to “sacrifice personally for this country.”
I truly appreciate McCain’s military service but other than that, I have no knowledge of other personal sacrifice McCain has made for this country (to me choosing to be a career politician is not a personal sacrifice).
On the other hand I can list several times where it appears McCain has sought his own personal political gain over the best interests of this country — i.e. McCain/Feingold, “Gang of 14″ and weak border security to name just a few.
Obviously it would be impossible for you to list the “countless times” McCain has personally sacrificed for this country, so just a few examples will do — as stated earlier, we’ve already acknowledged his military service.

“it appears McCain has sought his own personal political gain over the best interests of this country”
I think you need to do a whole lot more research before you make that assumption or use “numbers” to base your claims
“McCain/Feingold, “a Gang of 14″ are not considered an interest in his country”
1) dealt with campaign contributions
2) dealt with stopping the democrats from filibustering
a supreme court nominee
That was all about him?
One issue no one seems to care about is that GOD DAMN pork barrel spending, what the Fuck is up with that

“going so far as to call those of us who want our border shut down and the illegals deported racists and bigots”
WTF.. WHEN did he say something like that?
Are we dealing with a new form of esurgents?
