Traitorous Businessmen: In 1942 This Would Not Have Been Tolerated
There is a multi-speaker conference coming up in Texas on February 2nd entitled “Exposing The Threat Of Islamist Terrorism” and features lots of great guests including Robert Spencer from Jihad Watch.
The initial billboard design was the picture you see above.
But the Dallas-area billboard company changed it and explained the change this way:
“My boss wouldn’t go along with this type of advertising since we have an international clientele — some of whom might be on the other side.”
Other side? OTHER SIDE?
I’ll show you the other side, pal.
Here is their newer version, politically corrected so as not to possibly offend people from the “Other Side” that do business with this AMERICAN company:
Nods to Jihad Watch.
Businessmen without balls. This type of behavior lends itself to the destruction of free societies. Denial has destroyed many prosperous civilizations. These are the type of people who would gladly convert to islam to keep their businesses humming. What’s that? You’ve taken over my country? Oh, okay, well as long as I can keep making money I’ll just switch to your side. What’s that Hitler? You have the most powerful country in Europe? Well, I’ll go into business there as long as I don’t have to kill any Jews myself. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.
January 18th, 2008 at 11:57 amName the billboard company. Is it clearchannel like the image alludes? They’re huge!!! I smell a boycott.
January 18th, 2008 at 11:58 amI’m surprised they didn’t make him change the face to Thurston Howell III or trot out the usual suspect, an East German.
January 18th, 2008 at 1:02 pmThese dhimmis better read the Pact of Umar. Failure to adhere to it will soon cost them their lives.

January 18th, 2008 at 1:58 pmThere are no islamic terrorists, I’ve seen the Mocumentory! 9/11 was a right wing christian bush/cheny conspiracy. There is no threat to the free world, it is all a scam to make the rich richer.
Islam is a peaceful religion that means us no harm!
What’s the easiest way to subvert a society?
Use it’s own laws against them!
Until society gets over being politically correct and starts allowing a spade to be called a spade, we are showing our enemies our throat!

January 18th, 2008 at 3:54 pmBullshit
I work in the sign business, and I have seen this kind of thing happen more than a few times. I have even seen completed signs get pulled because of a handful of complaints while others which represent an equally extreme but opposite (re: leftist) view get few or no complaints at all. Like in many media there seems to be a pervasive desire not to “make waves”.
Clear Channel may not have produced the art either; it’s more likely it was made by someone hired by or associated with this group. The fact that there is a “previous version” that was more accurate leads me to believe that is the case.
