Ah, not surprised that he hits it… Not surprised that FoxNews carries it …
And, not surprised that all the libs run around with their fingers in their ears going nya-nya-nya, we aren’t listening, and we don’t care.
God bless that man.
January 27th, 2008 at 6:03 pmPresident Bush is one man who “got it” before most people. Thats why i voted for him in 2000 and thats why i still support him today. Its just a shame we live among so many who will never get it.
January 27th, 2008 at 6:27 pmInteresting how similar the methodology is between AQ and liberals.
The POTUS is obviously talking about jihadis here but,
you could substitute the word “democrat” in place of “enemy”
and Bush’s statement has the same meaning.
“democrats” can’t recruit on the basis of their ideology (socialism).
January 27th, 2008 at 6:57 pmThey can only recruit where there’s hopelessness.
Wait … I thought he was supposed to be the dumbest man in the world.
January 27th, 2008 at 7:20 pmWhen I hear President Bush speak like this, I am so proud he is my president and he is wonderful and brilliant - I feel my child’s future is protected . . . then he says later in the same program that he hopes (illegal - they left “illegal” out) immigration does not become a part of the upcoming election because it can get “really ugly” - that reminds me of when the shamnesty bill was being discussed last summer and he implied that all those Americans who were calling with their displeasure were racists. So in that program, as always with my feelings for President Bush, I felt great love and great disappointment at the same time.
January 27th, 2008 at 7:27 pmBush was God’s man for this incredibly challenging time in America. I believe he’s “gotten it” since 9/11 and his response has been focused accordingly.
His tactics have often been misguided, but he’s never lost sight of who our enemy is and what we need to do to ensure America’s victory over said enemy. And he’s stood his ground even when it seemed everyone in Washington was running away from him (cowards!).
I don’t agree with him on everything (immigration, for one), but history will show him as a great leader in this time period for America.
January 27th, 2008 at 7:28 pmI was watching a little of this earlier on tv. One thing that quickly becomes obvious is in fact that he gets it, like everyone here is saying. I don’t agree with everything, but I just can’t not support him. He understands what this country is facing.
January 27th, 2008 at 7:29 pmPOD1…exactly so. I have been preaching that point for YEARS!
January 27th, 2008 at 7:39 pmHe got it back when we needed it the most. He still gets it now and most of the candidates running for the office he holds will never get it. Vote wisely in 08!
January 27th, 2008 at 8:29 pmVoted for him in oo and in o4. Would vote now if running. Only disagreement is immigration and I think his stance is that of a true Christian, much better one than me. I will never forgive nor forget how W has been treated by so many ugly Americans. Disgusting classless slimes!! But it may be our turn come November and this is the only thing that will keep me going–to terrorize Hil or jughead.
January 27th, 2008 at 9:04 pmSo the Glasgow airport terrorists last summer were hopeless? Doctors and engineers?

This war isn’t about social justice - that’s just the way a lot of people in the secular West want to look at it because they don’t understand or want to face the implications of this being a war of religion and culture. Bush is lost, too, thinking that Islam has been “hijacked”. It has not - they are following the “excellent” example of Mohammed.
January 27th, 2008 at 11:20 pmLone Wolf, you are not alone.
January 28th, 2008 at 5:22 amI gotta bump Lone Wolf.

January 28th, 2008 at 6:08 amIslam is a religion founded in peace. I’m not saying I don’t think it is flawed, but saying that Islam is operating on its foundation in the middle east is like saying that the crusades were the proper “Christian” thing to do. I whole-heartedly believe that Islam has been hijacked. It has been hijacked by radicals, and the misguided Sharia law.
January 28th, 2008 at 7:40 amGreg:
Where do you think Sharia came from? The Qur’an, Hadith and Sira - the unalterable messages of Allah and the words and deeds of Mohammed. Why do you think it is legal under Sharia for a Muslim man to take a 9 year old bride? Because that’s what Mohammed did, and he is the standard of conduct, the most excellent example (and he was nothing like Jesus). You need to do some reading. You could start here:

If there’s one problem Bush has, it’s that he believes in the inherent goodness and decency of mankind. He’s a fool, but at least he’s a noble fool.
@Greg:
Have you read the hadith? Read any biographies of Mo that aren’t whitewashed? What, read a Karen Armstrong book and now think you know everything about Islam?

100 for totally unmitigated box of truth!
January 28th, 2008 at 1:52 pmI love President Bush and I am sad that he will only be our President for one more year.
January 28th, 2008 at 5:05 pmViva Bush!
This might be the last Grown Up we have in office for 8 years or so.
