What do they mean…”A wildfire increase in worldwide terrorism?”
All over the world RIGHT NOW terrorists are operating with deadly efficiency. On every continent, excluding Antarctica, they are experiencing a “Global Jihad.”
If it is going to get worse, than it currently is, then we should begin some thourough planning for what lies ahead.
By the way, I am certain that there is going to be an up-tick in world-wide terrorism, even on US soil, as we near this presidential election: Just like Spain of 2004-5.
January 24th, 2008 at 10:12 amKarzai is a good man. He’s no Shah Masooud, but he’s as good proponent of the idea that merging modernity and Islam
is the answer to Jihadism as quital. He’s also right.
If the west wants to preserve western society and freedom it will have to ratchet up the pain that Jihadis feel. Right now we’re just playing whack-a-mole in the GWOT.
It will take a WWII-type of effort along with many well placed JADAMs and a few nukes, to end the quest for world hegomy by the 30% of the Islamic world that are the current protagonists and proponents of this third Jihad.
Otherwise this war will drag on for another 50 years and a nuclear strike in the US and Israel will most likely happen in the next 5 years.
And Pakistan appears to be a lost cause. AQ is very close to their goal of obtaining a first-strike nuclear capability. Pakistan’s military is weak and inept. They don’t have the balls of western militaries. Pakistan will soon be in AQ/MMA hands unless the West intervenes soon…with or without Musharaff’s approval.
