Fucking sweet. Love the M-60. If you want to make other improvements on it…lighten it up a little. 23lbs gets heavy after about 5 miles of walking with it. After 20 miles you wanna throw the pig in a ditch.
January 31st, 2008 at 7:29 amI think the big picture here is that they should be able to take other support guns that tend to heat up and give them these new barrels allowing them to throw more led at the enemy without breaking to cooldown or swap barrels. This should be able to be applied to other guns, correct?

The original M60E (1980s) was a piece of crap. We had a barrel go out during a CAX exercise in 29 Palms after about 400 rounds of steady fire. This was not your Vietnam-era M60 which was great. Looks like the E4 is the best of both worlds (light and sturdy–relatively).

Fast cars, fast women, running a mile without breathing hard, being the meanest SOB on the face of the planet, never ending friendships, swimming in the South China Sea, Tu Do street at two in the morning, glory, pride and a zest for life! Damn it’s been wonderful!
