Viewers Decide: Ron Paul Wins Debate By Landslide!
The viewers of tonight’s debate were asked to text in who they thought won, and here are the results:
Ron Paul 32%
Thompson 22%
Huckabee 18%
Romney 13%
McCain 6%
Giuliani 5%
But seriously, the Paulnuts are only really hurting their candidate by all this manipulation…
Well, I take that back, Ron Paul hurts his own campaign every time he opens his mouth.
And Louie is still undecided as to who he is going to vote for.
I think Duncan Hunter won—oh wait.
January 10th, 2008 at 9:18 pmTHAT’S Spiked by libertarians and their buddies the Democrats.
January 10th, 2008 at 9:20 pmIt’s fucking Sanjaya all over again …
I ain’t watching this stupid-assed show anymore.
January 10th, 2008 at 9:27 pmHEY…..if you reverse the order of names, the numbers come out almost exactly right!
January 10th, 2008 at 10:38 pmI did the stupid text message thing for Thompson just so he wouldn’t fall behind Ron Paul, (the biggest loser in the debate other than Huckabee)it looks like I wasn’t too successful. Man Thompson did really good tonight though.
January 10th, 2008 at 11:20 pmconsidering who paul was taking his talking points from I would have to say that Ahmadinijad won this debate!
January 11th, 2008 at 4:05 amnothing new here.. we all know the only time Paulbots pull their fingers out their butts is to abuse an online or tv poll, to play Wii and or to wave at their big blimp in the sky.
.. anything more is too much to handle on any given day.. without medication.
January 11th, 2008 at 5:12 ameveryone should read this,,, for some reason i can’t get a post on the ‘huffington’

these clowns really don’t get it, their nutjob candidate will maybe get 10% of the vote around the country. That will not change no matter how many online polls they go crazy with.
January 11th, 2008 at 7:12 amLOL. Yeah sure he did. ……(Cue the Twilight Zone theme)…
January 11th, 2008 at 7:28 amIf you listened to every 3rd word he was sending a code to the mothership.
January 11th, 2008 at 8:51 amRP won’t get the repub nomination, ever.
Once he’s dropped from the primaries, he’ll get the Libertarian nomination.
Then he’ll get maybe 5-10% of the vote. I’d be willing to bet even less than Ross Perot managed to pull.
January 11th, 2008 at 9:33 amYou responders may have watched the debate, but judging from your responses, you sure didn’t listen to what was being said. Ron Paul was the only candidate that provided a different viewpoint than the status quo. That’s why he won the debate. Americans are tired of hearing the same old garbage from our politicians. Ron Paul provides a different viewpoint. That’s why he won!
January 11th, 2008 at 11:36 amDon,
Puff, puff, pass bro…Puff, puff, pass.
January 11th, 2008 at 11:49 amYa it really is funny that Ron does so well on these types of polls or with Internet debates and voting, but then when it comes to actual voting and such he does so poorly.
January 11th, 2008 at 11:53 amRon Paul did not win the debate. He was the biggest looser on the stage. Every time I heard him speak it reminded me of my 5 year old daughter when she is wining about not getting something her brother has.
When asked if he would condem his kook base and the garbage they continue to spit out he did not have the balls to do so.
When questioned out current events in the Strait of Hormuz he was clueless as to what was being discussed despit the fact the narrator and 4 other contenders already spoke of the subject. I don’t know if he’s that dumb or can’t pay attention. either way we don’t want a stoog in the white house.
His facts were bold faced wrong on many subjects. The economy is not in the tank as he claimed. We are not in a recession. His facts were wrong on our history with Isreal and Iran. The list goes on.
The different viewpoint he affords are extreamly dangerous and some of the other candidates pointed that out. Putting out ideas that would result in the destruction of Isreal or freely allowing Iran to dominate the middle east with nuclear weapons only demonstraits how out of touch, reckless and dangersous this man is.
I watched the debate for over an hour and at no time did he displayed any leadership skills what-so-ever. True leadership does not start (and/or finish) by blaming people around you as he did every time he spoke. True leaders lead.
January 11th, 2008 at 12:06 pm“Ron Paul was the only candidate that provided a different viewpoint than the status quo. That’s why he won the debate.” So if I show up at a code pink rally wearing say taupe or mauve, I win? Sweet!
January 11th, 2008 at 12:29 pmIf you don’t think that we are in a recession, you need to start looking at economic data. We always want to spin issues to make certain people look bad, good, evil or moral- but this is serious business. We are facing a collapse of the dollar because of our “borrow and forget” spending practices.
If my house is on fire, I could claim that the fire is actually good because it deters home invasion. Now is not the time for spin, now is the time to drastically cut government spending and end policies that require us to borrow massive amounts of money. Look up the Glen Beck interview with the Chairman of the GAO.
Ron Paul made excellent points about this, our support of Arab nations which threaten Israel, and made clear he was not a “truther” without denouncing them as individuals. I am not a truther, and think they are incorrect and misguided. Personally, i don’t think the federal government is capable of pulling something like that off. But since when should a president denounce people for a viewpoint they have? Why not take away their right to vote or outlaw their freedom of speech?
