Westboro Baptist Pukes Will Be Confronted By Pro-Troop Groups At LeJuene

January 24th, 2008 Posted By Bash.

Those demons posing as Christians have obtained their permit to protest Saturday January 26th at the corner of Hargett St and Camp Lejeune Blvd beginning at 1100 hrs. This is directly across from the Veterans Cemetary and Beirut Memorial.

Also granted a permit were several pro-troop groups including Gathering of Eagles, Patriot Guard, Rolling Thunder, Eagles UP, Military Order of the Purple Heart, MilitaryAppreciationDay.org, and Leathernecks MC. They have obtained a permit for a Military Appreciation Rally at N. Marine Blvd and Western Blvd on Saturday January 26th at 1100hrs. It is labelled Operation Celebration of Americas Military.

All military personnel have standard orders not to go near the protest, so it is up to the rest of us to handle the situation.

I don’t think there is anything more repulsing than our own people “thanking God” for dead soldiers….it just makes me sick

  3. JJIrons

I shouldn’t have to say this but in the times we live in, I guess I do. No matter what “group” you are a part of, there are always wierdo’s masquerading as spokespeople for the rest of that group. Unfortunately, these Piles O’ Heave make the news. These folks are what I label as “Taliban christians.” Notice the small c. These people represent Christ about as much as I could represent pantyhose. They are phonies through and through. If any of you out there think that these screwed up individuals are what Christians are, don’t entertain that thought for another second. They don’t. They are phonies and convoluted scum. They are ungrateful, hateful, and judgmental morons.

I am a Christian and I THANK GOD for our troops, the job they are doing and the tremendous sacrifices they continually make for our country and our freedoms. I BLESS our troops and ask for God’s covering to be on them.

So much for these turds, If confronted, watch em’ scatter like rats. I would not be offended if some knots were well-placed. ;-) They deserve a few, maybe more than a few.

Seems to me they (WBC)never read Matthew Chapter 7 (The third part of the sermon on the mount.)

This group does not represent God, or the word of God, they are only representing themselves.

  5. Dan (The Infidel)

These infidel apostates will have no place in the Kingdom that’s for sure. We should cast them out from amoung us as the Scriptures command us to. Stay the fook away from my part of the world lying apostates…I’m raring for an opportunity to kick me some loser apostate ass.

  6. Vanessa

My son will be preparing to leave for Ca so hopefully he wont be hearing of any of their crap.
They are lucky I cannot go down there otherwise I would go and protest against them.

    They are sacks of shit.

  7. Kurt(the infidel)

These are seriously the most despicable people i have ever heard of. If I saw them I would punch one of them in the face. I wouldnt be able to stop myself. People get beat down on a daily basis for less than what these pukes are doing so it wouldnt even be a problem

  8. Steve in NC

They stay from gate four at Fort Campbell now. Same should happen where ever they pop up.

Just can’t make that drive Saturday to Camp Lejuene (the birthplace of my wife). Good Luck to those that post at the rally and thanks.

BTY I hear those assholes are going to post at the dead gay cowboy actor’s funeral, bet that gets national media coverage far exceeding anything when they appear at funerals of our fallen troops

I can’t wait to be there. My weekend plans are set. My brother, stationed in Iraq, from Camp Lejeune, will be home on 2/4. The only thing better than protesting a bunch of granola-eating, NAMBLA-loving hippies is supporting our troops and protesting (as JJIrons put it) these Taliban christians.

    See you there.

When I was LCpl at Marine Barracks Washington(back in 2003) I was getting my hair cut across the street at Sneed’s. In the time it took to get my haircut a few hundred people had formed a protest at the main gate. I had to walk through the crowd to get back on post, and they started yelling at me , and some lady grabbed me and was saying stupid shit “Don’t go to war with Iraq, don’t let this happen” Apparently that lady doesn’t realize that Lance Coolies don’t have as much pull as she thinks they do. Just a bunch of freaks. If I was stateside I’d love to show up to counter these freaks. Then I’d hit up Tarheels!!

  11. Iacobus

How quaint. A couple of the protesters are standing on the United States flag.

I have an idea: Why doesn’t the WBC get the fuck out of America if it doesn’t like it so much?

A blight on humanity is what they are. Better if they just fell off the face of the earth.

I am a Christian man that has come across and had dealings with a member of this group. The individual is one of the most hateful human beings I have ever encountered in my 42 years. These individuals are so void of anything that resembles the fruits of the Holy Spirit (Galat 5:22-23) that I am stunned that individuals try and identify them with being Christians. They are a hate group that tries to provoke others to their wicked level and is how they have managed to continue to exist. They make me sick as well but retaliation in the form of violence only propogates further acts. God is watching them and good will overcome evil. It has been promised so by GOD. These are people that have hardened their hearts to the point that they have lost all sense of reality. I come to this site often and the regular commenters are good folks that care deeply about our service people and the cause they stand for in standing tall against that which is evil. Westboro will reap what they have sown but I implore others not to sink to their level and become that which we despise. God Bless to you each…

We can’t do bodily harm to these people, but perhaps we should start marking them and their property.

One way would be to toss small balloons with filled indelible dye mixed with stinky stuff. Maybe essence of skunk mixed with gentian violet.

GET SOME, Gathering of Eagles, Patriot Guard, Rolling Thunder, Eagles UP, Military Order of the Purple Heart, MilitaryAppreciationDay.org, and Leathernecks MC.!!!!

Their church is only about 60 miles from where I live. They protest everywhere around Kansas City. The entire family went to law school and fund their activities through lawsuits against those that assault them. They know the law and the boundries they must follow. The leader seldom shows up and he sends his family, including children, to protest.

The Patriot Guard does a fantastic job in KC. I do not know how they keep their cool and not react to the BS.

The Church recently lost a lawsuit and the fallen service members family won several million dollars. It is on appeal.

  16. mindy abraham

 god these people make me want to puke  they’ll protest AIDS victims, soldiers, the mine disaster victims, and i heard they were going to protest heath ledger-have they no soul?

    They’re “Pod People” …

    `nuff said.

I gots enough to answer for when [St. Pete] turns to my page in that book outside the Gates … I just hope I ain’t standing behind any of these people in line. Cripes!

WBC has a motive beyond hatred, they sue. At all their dispicable demonstrations they have video surveilance, hoping for evidence to take into court. Phelps and many of his cohorts are LAWYERS.

Be cool, underhanded and conduct yourselves like gentlemanly murders.

  19. Jeff

I apologize in advance for the long post.

You’ve got to be kidding me. I am all for free speech and open debate but what these assholes are doing goes well beyond anything reasonable. I lost a close friend while in the Navy several years ago. I cannot say for sure what I would have done had some dipshit shoved a sign like one of those in my face.

I would think this sort of provocation comes dangerously close to what the legal system calls “fighting words” and poking at someone who has just lost a loved one, in my opinion at least, is not a very bright thing to do. I don’t know if the law considers a sign the same as an utterance but to anyone who can read, the effect is the same.

    Legal definition of ‘fighting words’

Fighting words doctrine. The First Amendment doctrine that holds that certain utterances are not constitutionally protected as free speech if they are inherently likely to provoke a violent response from the audience. N.A.A.C.P. v. Clairborne Hardware Co., Miss., 458 U.S. 886, 102 S.Ct. 3409, 73 L.Ed.2d 1215 (1982). Words which by their very utterance inflict injury or tend to incite an immediate breach of the peace, having direct tendency to cause acts of violence by the persons to whom, individually, remark is addressed. The test is what persons of common intelligence would understand to be words likely to cause an average addressee to fight. City of Seattle v. Camby, 104 Wash.2d 49, 701 P.2d 499, 500.

The “freedom of speech” protected by the Constitution is not absolute at all times and under all circumstances and there are well-defined and narrowly limited classes of speech, the prevention and punishment of which does not raise any constitutional problem, including the lewd and obscene, the profane, the libelous, and the insulting or “fighting words” which by their very utterance inflict injury or tend to incite an immediate breach of the peace. Chaplinsky v. New Hampshire, 315 U.S. 568, 62 S.Ct. 766, 86 L.Ed. 1031.

    Folks,

Please pay attention to the posts that tell you what these people are all about: they are in the business of making money by provoking other people beyond endurance, and then suing them. So, how does one handle this kind of nonsense?

Ridicule works well. A good joke at a protest is newsworthy. The goal ought to be to make them a national laughingstock, something like John Carry. Have fun, and be sure to take some good pictures.

there has been a insignificant push to ignore them and give them disappointing media attention… since the new by-pass little traffic uses that street, if they do show up about the only place in that area left to stand is a traffic island..

the buzz in the area is people are coming from 300 mile away to face the slime… opt to attend one of the troop rallies instead

We here in Jax have had enough attention lately

Laugh and laugh some more at them. It will truly demoralize them. This is far better than an ass whipping.

    Jeff…..Excellant Post.

I’m going to pass this info on to the attorneys for the city of Topeka and the Attorney General of each state. Seems all the lawyers out there are a little gunshy in wanting to step on these assholes rights.

So far Topeka has had to reimburse Fred Phelps over $100,000 in legal fees because he is a little smarter than they are.

    He is a shrewd sumbitch.

The state of Kansas is in the process of passing a law to forbid this type of protest at funerals. Only a handful of states have done this.

If the lawmakers in our country were subjected to these vermon at one of their loved ones funeral, i guarantee you they would make shutting them down their top priority.

Most people don’t realize how demented and insane this bunch is until you see them up close and personal. It’s all you can do to keep from running past the cops and grabbing these sick motherf***ers by the throat and choking them till their eyes pop out.

Trust me, if you see them, you’ll feel the same way.

    UPDATE:

Groups plan their answer to Westboro

    HEATHER GALE
    January 24, 2008 - 8:22AM
People from the community and across the country are coming together this weekend to show their support of the military community — and their distaste for the Westboro Baptist Church group and its message.

The controversial Kansas church, the one that pickets funerals of military service members, has a permit from the Jacksonville Police Department for a planned protest of Camp Lejeune on Saturday.

Two other groups say they have a better alternative.

Three Marine Corps wives — Nikki Stahl, 29, of Jacksonville, Mandie Benson, 26, of Jacksonville and Chrissy Speelman, 31, of Jacksonville — are organizing a troop-support rally from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Jacksonville Commons Park near the community center.

The Gathering of Eagles — in conjunction with Rolling Thunder, Patriot Guard Riders, Eagles Up, Military Order of the Purple Heart and Leather-Necks Motorcycle Club — will hold a demonstration of their own from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of North Marine Boulevard and Western Boulevard, in front of Wal-Mart.

Both events are scheduled to counter the Westboro Baptist Church protest, which is scheduled at the same time at the corner of Lejeune Boulevard and Hargett Street.

“With the support of the citizens of Jacksonville we can spotlight the true spirit of the community,” the women said in a letter about the Support Our Troops rally sent to The Daily News and to businesses throughout Jacksonville. “We don’t think (the community) should give the church the audience they are looking for.”

Scooter the clown and a fire truck from the Jacksonville fire department will be at the Support Our Troops rally. There will be a raffle of donated items from local businesses, food from Sharp Shooters and Noble Roman’s pizza and free coffee, according to organizers.

“This is our home,” Speelman said. “We want to do something great.”

Speelman’s husband, a gunnery sergeant at Camp Lejeune, was at first against the women having anything to do with the church.

“After I explained to him that we are not trying to compete with (the church) he was very supportive,” she said.

Benson said the entire concept is to focus on family and community.

“Everyone is welcome from kids to veterans,” she said. “The rally has nothing to do with politics whatsoever.”

Ross “Bubba” McDonald is the North Carolina state coordinator of the Gathering of Eagles.

He said that due to the amount of commotion caused by Westboro Baptist Church after it announced the planned protest of Camp Lejeune, he and many others wanted to do something to counteract the church.

“We don’t want to be a part of the negativity,” McDonald said. “We just want to celebrate American military and demonstrate what real troop support looks like.”

McDonald said the Marines and residents should know that the groups are 100 percent behind them.

“We are not going to be holding pep talks for ourselves or feeding ourselves during the demonstration,” he said. “We are only here to show our support peacefully.”

Pretty much for my community project I would love to take a bunch of my friends over there and wait for them to come them pop up and light them up with our paintball guns. Then just to add more of an effect, have the entire football team just lay them out hard core for fun. Man I would love to see that happen to those pathetic loosers who are to wimpy to even stick up for themselves much less fight in the army. Plus to top it all off I would put it on film and have it on the news just so everyone could laugh at them. Boy I do wish they would come to the San Juan islands then they would get a feel of the real world.
