The wonderful, spit-and-polish Marine is over eight months pregnant and she says another wonderful Marine raped her, and now on the eve of his court martial where she is the star witness against him, she turns up dead, and he is a fugitive from justice.

The question was regarding whether or not one can be accepted in the Marines if one is diagnosed as bipolar. No other implication than that (as you imply).
Clearly, any normal person (other than the afore mentioned “church” crazies) would have great sympathy for the loss of a pregnant woman and a baby (I don’t use the word fetus, he/she is a baby at conception).
I am not a member of the military and was asking the question because I am aware there are current and former military personnel who post on this site.

I suppose busting some heads would be the worst possible thing to do, but it sure would be a good workout. We can only hope that they violate the law somehow and that the JPD can haul them off quickly. I was told by a local cop friend that their application for a permit was denied. The most disappointing thing about this whole situation is how much press they get.

..Well, as far as I know you’re not ’supposed’ to. I’m aware of people afflicted with bipolar and having histories of attempted suicide being instructed by their recruiters to basically take a ‘don’t ask don’t tell’ approach to that issue. That is to say, don’t lie about it, but don’t bring it up either.
