World Net Daily Reviews Hollywood’s First Pro-Troop Project
It’s an 8 episode miniseries. This is a review of episode #3 “The Glass Factory”
Excerpt From World Net Daily:
This spring, Pat Dollard’s Young Americans will air on cable television, the result of years of work. But there’s a good reason for the time it has taken: Pat Dollard is a man obsessed with reality, his reality of the war he experienced while embedded with the 3rd battalion 7th Marines in Ramadi.
Dollard trumps the pretenders by giving such an engaging view of Iraq, I found myself watching the 30-minute episode half-way out of my seat. The episode showed the Marine response to a major bombing at the Ramadi glass factory. What follows is not just a CNNesque report on raw violence, but a pulsating pictorial of the effects of terror.

January 24th, 2008 at 4:54 amI remember the first time I had heard about about Pat…When I saw one of the videos and I new this was like no other…Then I read these disparaging remarks which enraged me to the point of doing one of two options 1) Finding some anti-war leftist liberal pukes and cause them severe bodily damage or 2)support the web site. Of course I chose the latter because the first was not really an option

Being a watcher of only basic cable (History/ Discovery/ Military Channel) for most of my life, I will subscribe to Show-time just to view this series just like I did HBO for Band of Brothers. Of course there will also follow the requisite purchase of the box set to add to my collection. After all, I have a son and daughter that will need to be taught the truth about this country’s history and that of it’s fighting men and women. Pat, you do us all a great service by adding the pictures to our stories. Thank you sir and godspeed.

January 24th, 2008 at 5:19 amOutstanding article by Matt Sanchez! Thank you Matt!
At the bottom of the article you can “Dig” the story and it will be seen by many more people. Please do that too if you can.
I am so excited! Pat all the blood, sweat, and dare I say tears is coming to full bloom. God bless you and everyone out there that has helped make this possible for you to complete.
Fuck DePalma, Cuban, the NY Times, and all the other asshats out there.
January 24th, 2008 at 6:11 amI am so looking forward to watching all of Pat’s work. I already know it will be amazing.
January 24th, 2008 at 6:21 amPat -
Your “baby” is about to be delivered, my friend. All the labor pains and hard “pushing” are about to bring forth Young Americans for the rest of the world to see and be in awe of.
It’s a beautiful thing, darlin’!
How deliciously fitting Matt Sanchez is one of the “mid-wives” to help you along in this labor of love, eh? You BOTH deserve medals for what you have done for the men and women in this war to protect them and their stories. G-d continue to bless you both and your work, and the rest of the brave citizen journalists who have dared to do this all on their own. We people owe you all eternal gratitude for your hard work and the blood, sweat, and tears you all have shed for us … and for our beloved troops.
January 24th, 2008 at 6:44 amWay to go Pat!! This is so going to rock- and finally tell the real truth about Iraq. I am just looking forward to the day five years from now when you make a sequel on the “New Iraq” from rebuilt Ramadi and Fallujah
January 24th, 2008 at 6:48 amI’m more anxious to get out with the 3,200 Marines heading out to kill us some Taliban in Afghanistan.

They ain’t gonna take ya with a bum eye, so behave yourself and get better.
I have a feeling my son-in-law-once-removed (my son-in-law’s brother who calls me “Mom”) who is a Gunny Sgt. Marine is going to be heading to A-stan in the fall. He re-enlisted and has already gotten orders to move from the training base on Paris Island, SC where he trains the bad-asses to a base in Hawaii … from there he’ll get deployment orders that are yet [unknown].
How friggin’ cool would it be if you got in with his group?!?
January 24th, 2008 at 7:12 amHEY PAT!!!! when is the whole finished documentary comin out?????!
January 24th, 2008 at 7:45 amhopefuly before i get deployed ina few months so hhurry up loll! i wanna watch !

Pat,
I do video editing and shooting as a hobby. I fantasize about being a documentarian. Now I understand the passion and commitment required to do that from following your blog. I am forever grateful for your openness and for telling the story of our men of action. They make me proud to be an American, I wish I had the personal manliness they have in their pinky fingers. The brotherhood forged in the crucible of battle is something every man craves. Thanks for the taste of it.

OUTSTANDING on the review! I am looking forward to seeing it!!
January 24th, 2008 at 9:15 amSanchez rules dude. That was one helluva article. You just got a ton of publicity. WND gets a shitload of hits per day. That’s new hits…not return ones. So now everyone and his mother will be tuning into showtime to watch YA.
Tsk, tsk. The libs will just have to eat more of their own shit. And that’s just too freaking bad for them.
January 24th, 2008 at 9:37 amReview by Matt Sanchez, very impressive. Congrats to you for your hard work. May it be rewarded by vast audiences finally getting the message. My brother in law ships out to Iraq in a few months. I am at the point where I want it to be over. With all the efforts of all our brave men and women, and no thanks to the traitors in our midst, it will be.
January 24th, 2008 at 9:39 amPat:
You’ve come a long way, baby. Cheers!
I’m getting my subscription to Showtime. There’s no way I’m missing this!
January 24th, 2008 at 9:46 amOh Horray!!! A great review!!
I saw that you were not kidding about the 25 minutes…tsk tsk tsk.
My son and his buddies wanted to come over there and tie your head to the table but since they have to leave for a month of training in the lovely California desert before hitting Fallujiah, Iraq again they said you best follow the Drs orders.
If you think you are superhuman then how will I ever convince my son he is not and to protect himself properly?
January 24th, 2008 at 10:29 amWootness!
January 24th, 2008 at 11:22 amRock on Pat!!!
January 24th, 2008 at 12:46 pmYoung Americans on Showtime will be my eye excercise.
Is it too late to get Mary Katherine a walk-on part in the series?
Three things Pat, no, four:
1. be well - I wish you complete healing and recovery
2. lots of succes with YA;
3. a tribute to the men and women warriors;
3. wish it can be viewed outside the States also.
Marine mom.
January 24th, 2008 at 12:53 pmFollow-up Pat, aka “IED magnet” — I just read Matt’s article and found this little jewel at the end:
“I feel contempt for the average civilian,” Dollard says. “I can’t stand that I live in a culture, especially in Hollywood, where measure of man is self-indulgence.”
Wow, that truly sums up our blue state culture better than anything I have ever read, heard or seen before.
January 24th, 2008 at 1:19 pmAdvance notice, I’ll be stealing that quote…
I’ll be spreading the word, can’t wait.
January 24th, 2008 at 1:51 pmGood shit.
January 24th, 2008 at 2:49 pmFuck yea, the public shall see the truth
January 24th, 2008 at 4:05 pmI’ve always found success to be the sweetest revenge.
Although stealing the other guy’s girl is pretty nice, too.
January 24th, 2008 at 4:55 pmGreat piece by Matt Sanchez.
I’m totally excited for you, my friend.
You’ve put ALOT of your blood(in the literal sense!!)& sweat into this project.
Deploying to AFG??!!
January 26th, 2008 at 6:05 amDare we hope for Young Americans: Redux??
