Yemen: Three Killed in “Tolerance & Conciliation Festival”

At least three people were killed and 16 others were wounded on Sunday in the southern city of Adan when chaos broke out during the “Tolerance and Conciliation Festival” marking the 22nd anniversary of the 1986 massacre by the Socialist Party which ruled the then South Yemen.
Security sources told KUNA that “infiltrators” sparked off a sound bomb and, in the commotion, took control over a machine gun and opened fire randomly at those present.
The perpetrators were apprehended, the sources said, adding that among the wounded were seven security personnel.
An investigation panel was formed to look into the matter.

Tolerance and reconcilliation are western concepts that came out of a society built on the Judeo-Christian ethos.
Old Achmed is unacuustomed to that sort of modern concept…as we see here by this story.
