Breaking: Charred Protestor Body Found In U.S. Embassy In Belgrade
A dead body was found late Thursday night in the US embassy after protesters stormed and torched the building after a huge rally against Kosovo`s declaration of independence led to anarchy on the streets of Belgrade for several hours.
The unidentified charred remains were found on the second floor of the US embassy when police regained control of the area, Balkan Insight can reveal.
The corpse found in the embassy is thought to be one of the protesters.
Several hundred protesters stormed the US embassy, ransacked the place, blazing torches after they clashed with police and forced them to withdraw.
Police reinforcements with six utility vehicles arrived at the scene some 15 minutes after protesters stormed the embassy. After firing several tear gas charges, police chased away protesters.
