Irony we can’t miss. They don’t get credit for “change”. It’s mandated by the Constitution. All that’s of consideration is their policies and their principles.

4: 55 PM PST

Per CNN and Fox:

Romney wins Mass.; McCain wins Conn. and Illinois; Obama wins Illinois; Clinton wins Okla.

5:11 PM

New Jersey called for McCain

5:13 PM

Drudge put up the following exit poll results:

WARNING: EXIT NUMBERS EARLY AND DO NOT REPRESENT ACTUAL VOTES:

OBAMA: Alabama: Obama 60, Clinton 37… Arizona: Obama 51, Clinton 45… Connecticut: Obama 53, Clinton 45… Delaware: Obama 56, Clinton 42… Massachusetts: Obama 50, Clinton 48… Missouri: Obama 50, Clinton 46… New Jersey: Obama 53, Clinton 47…

CLINTON: Arkansas: Clinton 72, Obama 26… California: Clinton 50, Obama 47… New York: Clinton 56, Obama 43… Tennessee: Clinton 52, Obama 41…

EXIT POLLS: ‘Change’ Trumps ‘Experience’ 2-1…

5:14 PM

Huckabee is cleaning clock in rural south, Romney is doing well in “affluent” South, county by county…

5:22 P.M.

Huckabee leading in Alabama, Georgia and Missouri

5:35 P.M.

McCain Wins New Jersey.

5:44 P.M.

Huckabee wins Alabama per AP

McCain wins Delaware

5:57 P.M.

Hillary wins Tennessee

6:00 P.M.

Fox just called NY for the Hildebeast. AZ still too close to call for McCain.

6:08 P.M.

Who’s voting where?

2-5.gif
legendgif.png

6:10 P.M.

Mass. called for Hillary…New Jersey just called seconds ago…

6:18 P.M.

Fox just called NY for McCain

6:19 P.M.

AP gives Alabama and Delaware to Obama

6:39 P.M.

Fox calls Kansas for Obama.

7:01 P.M.

Fox calls Okahama for McCain. Romney and Obama take Utah. Romney’s in big trouble in the big picture, because he is running third in the South, the foundation of the Republican party.

7:10 P.M.

Huckabee just minutes ago in his quasi victory speech ( close paraphrase ): “Well, a lot of people have been saying this is a two-man race. Tonight we found out that it is, and we’re in it”.

7:18 P.M.

Shocker: Obama just beat Hillary in Connecticut. But old fat Ted and the Governor couldn’t deliver Massachusetts for him.

7:42 P.M.

Huckabee just won his 5th state, Georgia. Romney just gave a very, very upbeat speech, vowing to fight on, and to keep America from becoming “a second tier power” later in the century.

7:52 P.M.

Hillary just said she’s hearing voices.

7:52 1/2 P.M.

“…of people across America”.

7:53 P.M.

Hillary just offered prayers for the people killed by a tornado in Arkansas tonight, which former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee failed to do. Guess he had someone else on his mind.

7:55 P.M.

The rest is just alternating between empty blather, lies, hate speech, and socialist blather…

7:58 P.M.

lol. Hillary just said, “I will not let the Republicans swiftboat America’s future”. English, please?

8:11 P.M.

Romney just won Montana.

8:31 P.M.

Huckabee and McCain are in a death-grip in Missouri. Only a few votes apart. 33% to 33%, with just about 90% of the precincts counted Romney actually isn’t far behind.

McCain’s leading early returns from California, but that’s meaningless, way too early…absentee’s polled went for McCain, live voters today went for Romney, with a big edge…

8:37 PM

McCain’s giving his victories speech, while his supporters cleverly chant “Mac is back”…Lieberman’s with him…

8:43 P.M.

McCain was very cautious and gracious in his speech…tried to appear humble…

8:46 P.M.

Obama’s giving his spiel. He’s suddenly doing an “I’m black” thing…quavering his voice Jesse Jackson-style and throwing in some blackcent…funny…

8:54 P.M.

Obama doesn’t get credit for not voting to support the war in Iraq, because he wasn’t a Senator and couldn’t vote. He says he wouldn’t have, but we really don’t know, because he really didn’t have to make the final choice, bearing the pressures of office…

8:57 P.M.

Obama’s starting to remind me of John Edwards more and more every day…just another slick phony…sounds like a little boy: “we’re gonna make everything run on the wind and the sun”…leftists really do live in fantasyland…have big trouble acknowledging the real world…

9:06 P.M.

Fox is now giving Missouri to McCain, calling it “an almost lynchpin state”

9:12 P.M.

Nifty chart stolen from Drudge:

CLINTON: AR, AZ, MA, MO, NY, NJ, OK, TN
OBAMA: AL, CT, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, MN, ND, UT

HUCKABEE: AL, AR, GA, TN, WV
MCCAIN: AZ, CT, DE, IL, MO, NJ, NY, OK
ROMNEY: CO, MA, MN, MT, ND, UT

9:14 P.M.

According to Fox News, add California to McCain’s list of wins above. Yes, they have called California for John McCain…and Hillary won it too…

9:16 P.M.

AP gives Colorado to Romney and Obama.

9:26 P.M.

Oh yeah, McCain finally took Arizona.

9:27 P.M.

Well that’s that. And now we have an entire baseball season to go before we vote for President.

10:38 PM

Obama just won Alaska.

11:06 P.M.

WASHINGTON (AP) - campaign_minute Sen. John McCain seized command of the race for the Republican presidential nomination early Wednesday, winning delegate-rich primaries from the East Coast to California. Democratic rivals Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama traded victories in an epic struggle with no end in sight.

Clinton won the biggest state, California, for the Democrats, capitalizing on support from Hispanic voters.

McCain’s own victory in the Republican race in the Golden State dealt a crushing blow to his closest pursuer, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

    According to cnn.com–
with 5% of precincts in for Colorado, Romney opens with a huge lead of 46& to 27% over McCain.

with 89% of precincts reporting in ND, Romney 36% to McCain’s 23%

with 26% in MN reporting, Romney 38% to McCain’s 23%

with 88% of MT reporting, Romney 36% to McCain’s 24%

Huckabee looks to be taking Georgia, Mizzou, and Tennessee away from McCain

If this trend holds true then California becomes extremely huge (proportional delegates) and things will just start to get interesting here in Texas, in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Looks like it is still a 3 man race.

    Honestly.

An entire campaign summed up in one sentence.

I think this is the smartest thing I’ve ever seen a Paulentologist write.

From the Herr Doktor Forums: (the title of the thread is $20 million and we still can’t break 4th?)

    Poster spm1024 writes…

our supporters spend all day investigating Diebold on the internet and scrutinizing home video of planes crashing into buildings rather than talking to the voters in their precinct and working to get out the vote.

    You know what’s really sad?

This poor guy is just now getting this…

  6. Goodbye Natalie

Most meaningless campaign slogan of the new election year:

“Change we can believe” or “Stand for Change”

Could somebody here explain to me what that means? Is it change for good, change for bad, change for change’s sake? Obama may perhaps the biggest shill for the Useful Idiot Award I’ve witnessed since….since….since Hillary Clinton.

What a joke…and I would not be surprised this flimflam is the next President.

If so, I will make it my own solemn oath to polarize this country as much as I possibly can. Consider it payback for the seven years of American hating bullshit and BDS.

  7. Goodbye Natalie

    Predicted Dimocratic 2008 Presidential slogan:

    DEATH to AMERICA!

  8. hegelbot

I hear you sandy, get ready to be completely marginalized in the winner take all national election, :( . On a lighter point, McCain, Woot!!!

“According to Fox News, add California to McCain’s list of wins above.”

Sometimes, I really hate my state. I hope Fox called it prematurely. I really don’t want to switch parties….or learn Spanish.

  10. Kermit

While McCain has not won it running away, he does have a cushy lead now. Huck really does seem to be the only challenger. I think Romney is done.

I enjoyed the Williamson articles, they paint a good picture of what has been done as an inside job to the GOP against conservative.

However, Newt via American Solutions thinks the best way for “Change” is at all local, & state levels too.

Now what to do in the fall. I have a strong distaste for McCain and the Huckster. Romney is not going to be the running mate. Who will it be?

Respond now.
