Baghdad, Feb 29, (VOI) – The Iraqi presidential council ratified the death sentence handed down against Ali Hassan al-Majid, the former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein’s cousin, on Friday morning, a presidential source said.

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - All Turkish troops involved in an offensive against Kurdish rebels inside northern Iraq have withdrawn back into Turkey, Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshiyar Zebari told Reuters on Friday.
“All the Turkish troops have withdrawn and gone back to the Turkish side of the international border. We welcome this, we think this is the right thing for Turkey to do,” Zebari said, adding that the withdrawal took place before dawn on Friday.

That stuff about Obama just makes me want to pull my hair out, it’s ridiculous how much people are willingly disengaging their brains and simply making their decisions with their “hearts” They won’t listen to anything the other side has to say and they simply don’t want know, what they don’t know, but is quite frankly right in front of their faces.

Re: Drudge and the Prince Harry outting
Over the years I have found Drudge pretty much (99.988888% of the time) is basically LINKING to something he has found in other media that is either being ignored, or going un-noticed. Pretty much what is done on this site (well, bring the percentage down a bit as there are more individual creative processes and open opinion by Pat/Bash/Iggy/RHG … in addition to OUR invited feedback and sharing of information involved on patdollard.com)
That said, once Harry is back in London, or one of the secluded Royal haunts in the countryside, the even bigger story seems to be the circling of the Brit media around what was basically a news embargo … that was successful for 10 weeks (Harry’s deployment was supposed to be 14 weeks)! The Brit news media is actually, to a certain degree, holding Matt Drudge up as a hero …
Now, take into consideration that the Brit news media is a back-biting, “EXCLUSIVE”, gotcha business over there (yeah, we’re catching up) … so much so it’s pretty much called the “tabloid media”. I mean, from what I’m seeing, it’s us Yanks who are more pissed about this blown-cover for the Royal lad than the Brits are … THEY seem to be aiming fingers at their own press for keeping “mum” on it. Go figure, huh?
It ALL ALWAYS comes down to “Need To Know” … and that is a line that has been blurred of late, especially in this GWOT … I mean, things ARE kept secret for a reason, not just to keep the masses deaf/dumb/blind/pissed … If the USA gov. is tapping calls coming into our country from questionable people in questionable countries … or looking into their bank dealings and folowing money trails … well, hell, do WE really need to know about it (NYTimes?)and should we really give a flying leap? This whole, “If they do it to them, they’ll do it to us” tripe just is a bit of poor reasoning in today’s world/war.
Anyhow, back to the soldier boy who would be King …
As I said last night, I would like to hear Matt Drudge lay out the anatomy of this ’story break’ for his [loyal] readers. He owes it to us … and to the Prince.
