I’d say it was a close tie of joy between killing people who were trying to kill me, innocent civilians and my friends ( often succesfully ) every day, and watching my daughter be born.

Three cheers for the New York Times. They’ve ended the Conservative’s movement’s war on McCain in less than 3 days, when it would’ve normally taken 8 months, if ever. I’ve gotten to know journalists very well, and for the most, there is no one sleazier and less believable than a journalist. They consider their primary job lying without getting caught. Think I’m kidding or speaking rashly? I ain’t. I’ve watched them work up close and personal, not just seen the end result.
When you read a newspaper or magazine article, just remember it was actually written by this guy, trying to hide that very fact from you:

Hetfield and I both grew up in the same little L.A. suburb called Downey. Then again, so did Karen Carpenter. Unusually enough, I was really turned onto Metallica by my hot-as-shit , half-my-age, black secretary that I ended up having an affair with. She was hilarious, strictly a headbanger as far as music went. The whole scene was weird, because her current boyfriend was Joe DiMaggio’s grandson who was a friend of mine who made the mistake of letting come and work for me. Shit happens. But this was a girl who when not listening to great music or other cool extracurricular activities, most loved whipping my ass at first person shooters on X-Box. Man, I was havin’ some fun. They don’t make enough of them like that. And she had another hilarious habit. She loved pissing off black guys being seen with me. More than once we’d be rolling in the H2, some black dudes would be walking down the street, and she’d make me turn the block and then cruise by them again slowly to make sure they got a good look at us ( she was VERY hot ) blaring some punk rock, or Metallica, real white-boy music, out the windows. I guess she had issues, but it was hilarious and fascinating to behold.

February 23rd, 2008 at 1:50 pmWell, from reliable sources, the word is that they are very hit or miss. Some people will under no circumstances buy either, but to be honest….. The first rifle I ever bought was a Bushmaster AR 15 and it has run great. Where the argument against comes from is whether or not it is going to be a ” hard use ” rifle or not. Is this going to be used for rifle courses with high round counts and near combat, shooting scenarios? or is it going to be taken out in the woods with ” the boys ” to blast at crap?
If it is going to be a ” working ” rifle then pass and find a Colt or LMT, Sabre Def. , LWRC ETC… COMPLETE rifle, don’t piece one together.
If not, then yeah I’m sure those will be fine, I mean they are GOING to function FINE, just like I said, if this is for work or for extremely hard combat-like use, then the others mentioned have a higher level of quality control incorporated into their manufacture.

Saw a Sabre at Cabellas that looked nice. The dealer that carries the DMPS also carrys LMT but they are on backorder.
Seems like the higher end AR have Upper and Lower recievers made of 7075 T6 aluminum forgings.
