Hussein: “Ban Sale Or Transfer Of All Semi-Automatic Weapons”
Project Vote Smart has brought forth some of Obama’s official political positions and this one really really really bugs the shit outta me…
He will shit all over the 2nd Amendment…

Nods to The Jawa Report.
AND SO WILL THE GREAT JOHN MCCAIN! He has a consistant record of being antigun! Let it be a Den that tries totake away our guns and not a Republican Liberal!
February 22nd, 2008 at 11:19 amReally Bill…are you sure about that. Have you looked at McCain’s record of voting against weapons ban and voting against laws that could hold gun companies liable for deaths caused by killers?
February 22nd, 2008 at 11:24 amSo what, if I was living in the US and Obama was in charge. my semi automatic .308 and .22 LR would be illegal? Fark that.
February 22nd, 2008 at 12:10 pmMcCain voted against the recent 10-year extension of the assault weapons ban. He also opposed legislation requiring trigger locks for handguns and the initial 1994 crime bill, which contained the assault weapons ban. I never knew Huck is a gun toting CWL kind of guy. McCain gets a C+ rating from NRA, Obama’s stance that scares me is he “supports national law against carrying concealed weapons, with exceptions for retired police and military”. Cliton “voted for a 10-year extension of the assault weapons ban. Voted for requiring extensive background checks at gun shows. Supports licensing and registration of handguns, mandatory trigger locks for handguns, holding adults responsible for their children’s use of guns, raising the youth handgun ban from age 18 to 21, limiting gun sales to one per month and allowing the Consumer Products Safety Commission regulate guns”.
February 22nd, 2008 at 12:12 pmMcCain is MUCH better than the Dems in this aspect.
February 22nd, 2008 at 12:19 pmeverything about this asshat freaks me out. this country would turn to shit in a hot minute if he was elected
February 22nd, 2008 at 12:32 pmGun Owners of America (GOA) rates McCain with a grade of F-
McCain’s failing grade is well deserved. John McCain sponsored an amendment to S. 1805 on March 2, 2004 that
would outlaw the private sale of firearms at gun shows. According to GOA, the provision would effectively eliminate gun shows, because every member of an organization sponsoring a gun show could be imprisoned if the organization fails to notify each and every “person
who attends the special firearms event of the requirements[under the Brady Law].”
John McCain also sponsored an Incumbent Protection provision to the so-called “Campaign Finance Reform” bill, which severely curtails the ability of outside groups (such as GOA) to communicate the actions of incumbent politicians to members and supporters prior to an election.
The GOA report of the 106th Congress reveals that out of 15 votes relating to the right to keep and bear arms, Senator John McCain voted favorably only 4 times. Put that into a percentage and McCain’s pro-Second Amendment voting record is a pathetic 27%.
In addition, GOA warns that John McCain supported legislation that would force federal agents to increase efforts in arresting and convicting honest gun owners who may inadvertently violate one of the many federal anti-gun laws, which punish mere technicalities, such as
gun possession.
For example, if John McCain’s proposed legislation were to become law, a gun owner who travels with a gun through a school zone or who uses one of the family handguns to go target shooting with a 15-year old could be sent to prison. And a person who uses a gun for self-defense could be sent to prison for a mandatory minimum of five years.
YES I AM SURE! Look it up…
February 22nd, 2008 at 12:52 pmNo McCain is not much better than the DEMS!! He is the ass that wants to reach across the isle and kiss theirs!! Hell, that scumbag Bush said he would have signed the law to renew the ten year ban if it reached his desk! Bush has a better rating on gun than Mccain!! I don’t know why I bother…
February 22nd, 2008 at 12:56 pmLicened firearms dealers register every gun they sell, so if you purchased from a dealer that weapon is registered in your name. The one world, new world order dictators want us disarmed. Buy aftermarket and build your own.
February 22nd, 2008 at 1:46 pmMost of McCain’s pro-gun votes are from before the 2000 election, after which he went batshit crazy because the Republican party ‘betrayed’ him.
I’m hoping that after the Left starts tearing into him he’ll flip again. Hildebeast and Hussein just want to ban guns outright.
After the Virginia Tech fiasco, somebody wrote an article on gun control that read like Swift’s “A Modest Proposal” (you’d be able to ‘own’ a gun, it just had to be on exhibit, behind glass, in a museum), except the guy was dead serious.
Either of those two would make that a reality.
February 22nd, 2008 at 2:00 pmThis is how the liberals have already won - kiss your gun rights goodbye. That battle was fought and lost when McCain became the nominee. It’s done - we should be talking about it in the past tense.
February 22nd, 2008 at 2:01 pmMccain is going to hell twice.
February 22nd, 2008 at 2:41 pmI can’t imagine why any of the 3 candidates would like to take our gun rights away
February 22nd, 2008 at 3:24 pmAnd with that statement he has just written a guarantee that he will lose in November. Americans will no longer elect people who think this way. Sit back and watch his popularity plummet starting now!
February 22nd, 2008 at 3:40 pmIf you think a democratic, western, english speaking country couldn’t ban semi automatic firearms, you’re wrong. It happened in Australia almost overnight after some arsehole shot 13 people in Tasmania Australia about 10 years ago. Be smart, or the US will be next.
February 22nd, 2008 at 3:43 pmBetween the Bush republicans and the communist/liberals here in the states, …Including “Nothing between the ears” McCain,
Ω…We’re ALL Fucked…Ω
Time to gear up big time !!
February 22nd, 2008 at 3:48 pmSlightly off topic:
Dollard Nation, I need your help.
I’m in the process of educating myself on the subject of firearms.
I’m a total novice.
I’m thinking of getting a Bushmaster AR-15.
Either a:

Or,
http://bushmaster.com/catalog_xm15_BCWA3F16SL.asp
My question:
February 22nd, 2008 at 3:55 pmIs there a better choice of weapon in that price range?
Any feed back will be appreciated.
Even the smart ass replies.
POD1;
Get as much “hands on” with as many weapons as you can. Try not to buy anything you’re not comfortable with, if it doesn’t “fit” you, you probably won’t be very effective with it.
Bushmaster is good quality. M-4 style can be lighter, but has many attachments sights etc..
Go to a large gun store, prices may be better and you can handle and learn more.
February 22nd, 2008 at 4:29 pmPOD1
Red Rock has some nice looking stuff, someone also mentioned LWRC as making good AR’s the other day. I think much as to do with the material of construction for the upper and lower reciever.
My Dad had an arsenal so I grew up with guns and I lost interwst, but now I have a rekindled interest……Just think what the USA would be like if we had no guns.
February 22nd, 2008 at 4:33 pmYou know no one can take something (ANYTHING) from you that your not will to give up in the first place. I’ve made up my mind along time ago, if anyone comes their going to be made to pay in blood lots and lots of blood before they ever get close to me and my family. If everyone choses to act this way they won’t try shinola because they will not have anyone on day two to send out and try to enforce it.
so unless your already planning on just caving in and rolling over to the despots just because they say so I would suggest making packs with your neighbors like we all defend each other so it’s not them against anyone house but them against entire neighborhoods and cities. Face it they don’t have the manpower to remotely try to enforce it.
As far as I’m concerned it’s long past time to be voting with bullets anyway
February 22nd, 2008 at 5:23 pmold11B, and Paslode
When you know nothing,
even a little information is a revelation.
Thank you.
If there were beer, I’d buy you one.
February 22nd, 2008 at 5:27 pmThis swill will have to do.

And if we refused to pay ridiculous taxes and high gasoline prices those would change as well…that is the power ‘We the People’ can produce. But from appearance most people don’t want to be inconvenienced at present time.
Gun owners are a different breed though, kind of like farmers or a small business owner. They are more involved, they have a better understanding of what is at stake and they will fight tooth and nail for what they believe in.

And like 11B said, make sure the weapon fits you. Look at a variety , throw’em up to your shoulder and get a feel for them. From what I remember, when it fits well it will slide right up to your (no pushing out or pulling back) shoulder and there is little effort to take aim.
