Hillary Clinton lags behind as Obama takes the lead in election race

Hillary Clinton faced further blows to her presidential campaign last night with defeats in the two latest Democratic primaries.
Voters in Wisconsin and Barack Obama’s home state of Hawaii were predicted to hand him a double victory.
Having seen the polls from those states going against her, Mrs Clinton has decided to focus all her efforts on the Texas and Ohio contests in two weeks.

Women: Obama 51%, Clinton 49%
Families with income under 50,000: Obama 51%, Clinton 49%
Independents: Obama 63%, Clinton 34%
Seniors: Clinton 60%, Obama 39%

Union households: Clinton 50%, Obama 49%
