Don’t worry, many more lives will be saved by the timely arrival of ammo, reinforcements, and evac that were lost in testing.
Remember the disaster when they had to refuel the choppers during the Iranian hostage rescue?
February 27th, 2008 at 2:11 pmI am fortunate to live in an area where there are many Veterans that are Pilots and I get to here them share their stories fairly often… A number of them have been test pilots and are Highly regarded in the aviation world for exactly the reasons you mention… They know the cost/benefit factor and that is the main reason they do it, that and they also get a kick out of it btw! There is no doubting that they died doing what they loved, for the Family, Friends and Country that they loved… They are truly Hero’s in my book!
