Gee, I think maybe it really began in earnest on 9/11…the subsequent beheadings and thousands upon thousands of terrorist attacks on innocent people worldwide might have something to do with it, as well.

American culture’s view of American Muslims, radical Islam, and Jihad is steadily deteriorating under an onslaught of “bigotry” on cable news shows, newspaper op-ed pages and in the blogosphere, an Arab-American activist told an audience at Tulane University here Tuesday.
That’s a significant shift, said Hussein Ibish, founder of the Foundation for Arab-American Leadership in Washington, D.C.
Decades before 9/11, Hollywood handed Americans the perceived wisdom on Arabs as passionate, hyper-sexed, irrational and cruel. Movies such as Rudolph Valentino’s 1921 silent classic The Sheik and turn-of-the-century thrillers such as The Rules of Engagement portrayed Arabs only as terrorists, Ibish said.
Since the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, however, Hollywood has backed off. In the meantime, Ibish said, commentators and politicians on the right — and a few on the left — have replaced film stereotypes with hours of air time devoted to misrepresenting Islam and fueling suspicion about American Muslims.

I’m a well educated, rational, fair minded American and I would have no problem whatsoever deporting most of the people here of the Islamic persuasion. Facts are that after 9/11 I didn’t see a single protest by muslims denouncing the attack, in fact it was quite the opposite. I personally know of people of islamic faith who said we deserved the attacks.

What have they done that wouldn’t count as outright propaganda? Have they proven by the overwhelming weight of deeds that Muslims are peaceful people? Have they been able to prove over the long-term (over the centuries) that their religion prescribes peace as a path to salvation?
If Muslims go around raping, pillaging, butchering, and torturing, it would be hard for us with our cultural framework to interpret it as anything good. Our cultural framework values life (most of the time), peace, morality (in moderation), and free will. Everything we’ve seen Muslims do is a direct assault on all of these points.
Lest anyone say that its only a minority which has done this, they might be right in the sense that only a minority has held the knife, rifle, or rocket but the majority, by its silence, has given consent to the minority. By withholding their outcry, they make it seem that the Muslim community worldwide stands in solidarity with the actions of the butchers. The majority may not have the balls to cut off an infidel head but they silently, timidly applaud those who do have the balls.
Bottomline: if the Muslim community doesn’t grow a pair fast and condemn this minority which purports to represent the majority, we will be prepared to throw out the baby WITH the bathwater.

Number 1 reason: I do not care for Muslims is that if it comes to defending the US Constiution over the Quran 99.9999999% of those pukes will choose the Quran.
Number 2 reason: I have yet to find one single Muslim that will out and out denounce Jihadis and terrorism. Fuck no, they either say nothing or they bring up some bullshit excuse about the Jews and/or the Palestinian issue.
Number 3 reason: They take advantage of our freedoms, but they want to assimalate into Western culture about as much as I would like to live in that shit hole they came from.
Number 4 reason: In a nutshell…I flew home from Memphis on 9/9, ran across 5 Middle Eastern cabbies arguing, there was some english translation going on I over heard, one noticed me and nodded in my direction and as I walked by they gave me the most hateful look I have ever gotten.

They’re all either Christians or ex-muslims.
The closest people to being both muslim and a decent human being I’ve found are Sufis, and most muslims would be even quicker to slaughter them that your run-of-the-mill infidel.
The mental acrobatics it takes to try to reconcile basic human decency with the life of Mohammed also means they tend to be the some of the weirdest people I know, and that’s saying something.

They don’t respect our life style, which is so different than their home countries. Stay away if you feel we are immoral or come and live in peace and enjoy our freedoms in America. My decendents came from Europe in the early 1900’s. They respected their new country, the laws, and the expectations of being a US citizen. I can’t respect a radical muslim for sending in a mentally challenged sister as a suicide bomber for the “cause.” Raping and beheading-this is barbaric behavior that should not even exist in this century. The Inmans in the US need to stand up against this mentality and preach that this is extremely wrong. Maybe then Americans will show respect for the Muslim religion. I follow a religion that is based in the love of God, not violence and hatred.
