Respect: Prince Harry Gets In The Fight
He should be King. I remember a while back Prince Harry was pissed that the “Royal Family” refused his request to go into Afghanistan and fight with his men as he had spent much time training to do.
Looks like he got his wish, he has been fighting on the front lines of Afghanistan since December, and Drudge is reporting today that he actually has been directly involved in firefights.
See Sky News Video here.
Fuck yeah, Harry, respect. When you get home go take out all them Jihadis that are invading your homeland, bro.
This from The Drudge Report:
They’re calling him “Harry the Hero!”
British Royal Prince Harry has been fighting in Afghanistan since late December — and has been directly involved in gun battle, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
The prince, a junior officer in the Blues and Royals, and third in line to the throne, has been a “magnificent soldier” and an “inspiration to all of Briton.”
Prince Harry is talking part in a new offensive against the Taliban.
Ministry of Defense and Clarence House refuse all comment. Army chiefs have managed to keep the prince away from media and have encourage fellow soldiers in his squadron to stay quiet.
Go prince Harry! Fuck em up
February 28th, 2008 at 9:47 amLeading a country by example.
February 28th, 2008 at 9:47 amI don’t think President Truman would mind if we also include the Prince and say, “give ‘em hell, Harry”.
February 28th, 2008 at 9:49 amThis guy is a true hero.
February 28th, 2008 at 9:50 amWow, I thought the volunteer armed services were full of poor disadvantaged youth with no other hope for a future. Guess I need to turn off the TV.
Now he just needs to come home to England and do some gun fighting with the local talybuns.
………..
February 28th, 2008 at 9:51 amGet some, Harry!
On the flip-side …
Who the fuck blew his cover?
February 28th, 2008 at 9:59 amYeah Harry! stay safe and kick some Taliban ass
February 28th, 2008 at 10:03 amGlad to see he got to go serve with his fellow soldiers. Can’t imagine how frustrating it must have been for him to train with those guys and then be told he can’t go simply because of who he is.
Give ‘em hell, Harry!
February 28th, 2008 at 10:08 amGood for him! Being half Brit, I have to say I’m proud!!
February 28th, 2008 at 10:15 amWho the fuck blew his cover?
An Australian womens magazine back in Jan but no-one followed up on it so the media blackout continued. Das Bild then published it and the Drudge Report released it today. Thanks to those idiots he may have to be withdrawn from theatre.
All the MOD will say now is that the situation is under review and the media outlets that were part of the original deal have agreed to do no further reporting about whether he stays or goes.
The thought of a member of our Royal Family calling in air strikes on ACM has left me grinning all afternoon.
February 28th, 2008 at 10:16 am..does he say to the Tali-wags “Go ahead, make my day, mate..” Three cheers for Harry. Hip-hip Hooray! Leadership by example! Love it
February 28th, 2008 at 10:18 amWhen one becomes a leader of combat-types, it is very hard to walk away to a non-combat job and leave the people you trained with to some other officer or NCO to lead.
This was Teddy Roosevelt Jr’s dilemna on D-Day. He wanted to lead the men he had trained onto the beach…even though he had a really bad heart.
TR Jr, like Harry got his wish. It cost TR Jr his life and a postumous MOH award. Truely an American hero…just like his dad and his brother were (Three MOH’s in their family).
Tip your hats and your glasses to Prince Harry. Good show, mate.

February 28th, 2008 at 10:25 amDAMN YOU DRUDGE!!!!!!
I AM ABSOLUTELY PISSED THAT IT WAS DRUDGE WHO BROKE THE EMBARGO. I KNOW WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WANT TO FIGHT FOR YOUR COUNTRY, BUT NOT BE ABLE TO FOR REASONS OUT OF YOUR CONTROL. IF I WAS IN THE PRINCE’S SHOES, I’D HUNT DOWN DRUDGE AND INTRODUCE HIM TO THE BUTT OF MY RIFLE. I NEVER THOUGHT I’D BE DISAPPOINTED IN DRUDGE, THIS IS A SAD DAY FOR ME. IT’S THE EQUIVALENT TO GERALDO REPORTING THE EXACT POSITION OF THE UNIT HE WAS EMBEDDED WITH WHEN WE FIRST INVADED IRAQ. YES I KNOW I’M YELLING. DRUDGE HAS BETRAYED AN ALLY.

February 28th, 2008 at 10:51 amI’ll buy him a pint
February 28th, 2008 at 10:52 amWow…That guy has some huge brass ones. The one thing I regret about the Bush Administration is that more “sons of privilege” did not join and serve our country during this war. I know that George P. Bush joined the Naval Reserve, but there are too many hotshots enjoying the fruits of America while millions of others sacrifice their time and blood to protect those less worthy. Go Harry!
February 28th, 2008 at 10:59 amI concur about the rascality of Drudge. That guy has become a bigger and bigger pr!ck every year…
February 28th, 2008 at 11:02 amWow. Everybody thinks Harry’s a big hero all of a sudden. Where were all of you hero-worshippers when Harry dressed up as a Nazi at one of his parties?
Remember that? How quickly you all forget.
The Brit royal family can’t take a shit without spinning it like heroism, and everyone laps it up.
This kid may be doing his duty, but where’s all the applause for Joe Schmo Brit who didn’t have Elton John and the fucking Spice girls flown into his every birthday party? This royal adoration makes me wonder where all the American on this site went!
Smeato have more balls than the entire f’n Brit royal family.
February 28th, 2008 at 11:02 amGet some Harry, good on ya
Some of the kids in this country driving their BMWs to and from Protest rally’s need to take note…

Lighten up just a hair …
Nobody’s ever “all forgiving” around here. The kid has done loads of dumb shit, as have many of our [kids] who are serving … And just as with any young man who actually goes into battle, they tend to come out a bit more “grown-up”, for various reasons of having faced reality.
Yeah, he’s lived a spoiled posh life that he was born into. But just maybe this tour of duty with the regular blokes will make his blood a little less blue, and more red … NOT that I want him to actually “bleed” over there in the ATO.
Anyhow, don’t hit and run … Drop a little info on those/that which you refer to:

February 28th, 2008 at 11:29 amWay to go Harry! Be safe and make it back in one piece.
February 28th, 2008 at 11:30 amA good example of what a leader should be. He left a life of priviledge and wealth to slog around the back water of Afghanistan. I’m kinda jealous really. Still waiting to take another kick at the can. Fideliter!
February 28th, 2008 at 11:51 amGood going and good aim

I’ll lighten up when they fill my ass with helium. I have nothing whatsoever against Harry or the British royal family; however, I am frankly stunned at all the fawning supplication and worship of one guy who is doing nothing that thousands of others are doing with barely the spectre of fanfare that Harry is getting…oddly, I should say, on Pat Dollard’s site.
With no undue disrespect to Harry or his family, let’s cut the bullshit: they are the wealthiest welfare recipients on the planet and, when compared to the genuine earnest reverence that the Thai royal family gets from the Thai population, have hardly contributed to their country in ways other than being a tourist stop. The Queen is quite impressive; her husband is a dunce. Charles is a snivelling homo Muzzie-lover, and his wife has the face that could win the Kentucky Derby. The rest can fall off the face of the Earth and nobody would notice.
Don’t kid yourself: Harry probably has a clandestine fleet of SAS covering his ass (partially well explained because the jihadis would richly love to butcher him as a PR trophy). I hope he makes it home alive. But why should I get all teary and weepy for him when there are scores of other regular guys whose risk of life and limb barely register a blip on the radar of media coverage?
I applaud Pat and other sites for giving these guys their due when the MSM wipe their asses with the heroism and dignity of the common fighting man.
I utterly reject this adoration of one pampered kid who, if he DIDN’T get his picture taken firing a weapon in a hostile zone, would remain a laughing stock of a privileged class of elitists.
Harry had nothing to do with his presence in Afghanistan. I’m sure he has his hands full. Still, this is a well planned and choreographed PR stunt to help wipe some of the stain off the Brit royal family.
Let’s keep our eyes on the ball, and Harry is not the ball. I could spit and hit somebody more worthy of a web page devoted to their efforts.
February 28th, 2008 at 3:21 pmPS: I am not some Irish revolutionist or Scottish separatist. Just one more American with enough attitude to scrape the paint off the attic ceiling.
Have a nice day.

Actually, throughout the course of the afternoon I have been pondering if the “leaking” of this supposed secret information might not have been orchestrated to pave the way for an eventual exit of said Prince from the ATO??
February 28th, 2008 at 5:01 pmdrillanwr
Interesting. Let’s wait and see.
February 28th, 2008 at 5:32 pmKudo’s to Prince Harry. I hope England is proud of him. He has the makings of a leader who is not above doing what needs to be done.
