Short Term Pain? Needed 4 Carters To Get 8 Reagans?

February 27th, 2008 Posted By Bash.

Okay, Dollard Readers, talk to Louie…say he is one of those conservatives that is undecided on how to vote exactly. Which way to go? Go the Bill Cunningham theory, short-term pain for long-term gain? Or fuck that, never let a Dem near the Oval Office and go McCain…

…convince, make your cases, please.

this d-bag is just all butt-hurt because he was thrown under the bus… get this bitch a tissue…

    iraq,healthcare,judges,iran,afghanistan,economy,defense,immigration

(but McCain is soft on immigration!! what is Obama like?)

sure, let’s just piss that all away… all of the things that are listed above can’t be un-F’ed after they’ve been F’ed … the “let’s vote democrat” just so we can get an “I told you so” moment in 4-8 years is just childish…

9-11 was an “I told you so” moment concerning why you can’t put a blind/naive eye towards what’s going on in the world (thanks Bill) Obama pretty much is straight up with the fact that that is what he plans to do…

I’m not willing to risk that just so I can flick off the democrats and tell them that they were wrong… I know they’re wrong; they don’t and never will… why try to prove it?

Well I can never conscientiously vote for a Democrat, not in the post 9/11 world, not after the shit they’ve pulled.

The fact is that we don’t know how McCain will be in regards to the conservative movement. But what’s important to me, is that we do know his stance on military & defense. If he does secure the border that’ll satisfy my biggest grief with illegal immigration.

    I’d say this:

If the Hillary or Obama win the cakewalk then it would work to our advantage down the road and if that happens then fine, we’ll deal with it and begin planning 4 years ahead!

But sure as shittin’, I don’t want to cast the vote that is responsible for making it happen! I’d never sleep right again knowing that I was responsible for all the shit that a Damage-crat did to this country in just 4 short years…

  4. Bill Peterson

This guy is an idiot, McCain was right to distance himself from him.

    Good one JohnnyM

  6. BILL

JGEE: You are the dirt bag! Bill Cunningham is exactly right! We lost to Carter because we ran a liberal against him! That gave us Reagan later on. If not we may not have ever gotten Reagan! McCain with his McCain/Feingold crap (vote for him and get more of it) has violated our free speech and made sure that the Liberal Repuplicans remain in power. McCain is a kiss ass and this proves it. Oh, we can’t call the kettle black that would not be nice!!!

    A. S. Wise- VA: You are not so wise!! We do know exactly what that bastard McCain will do to us as conservatives! He will do what he did to Cunningham and a hell of a lot more! He and his gang of 14 did more damage to the conservative movement than Bush did and that is saying a lot. Lets see we had the Keaton 5 what was it called? Filibustering all of the conservative judges, singlehandlely preventing Frist from using the nuke option to stop the basted moderate McCain Republicans and their Liberal Dem friends. Bull Crap why do you think Frist retired??!!

jonnmordant: It is more like two years just like Clinton and the 94 Republican takeover. That is when conservatives had the gutts to fight instead of piss and moan like this group does here! We need to be brave and unite around conservativism not Liberalism and that is what McCain stands for!

  7. BILL

Bill Peterson: Again you want to call names well your are the idiot! McCain is a kiss ass. He lied and said he did not know Cunningham! McCain is a liberal bastard and if you want to sleep with him you are the idiot!

  8. BILL

I just thought of this. You cry babies might be right that we might want McCain for president but not for the reasons you state.

In 2000 conservatives scorned him (because we new then he was a liberal and worse now)and from that point on he did whatever he could to destroy us!! If we scorn him this time we better pray that AZ voters reject him because he will be so far uo Obama’s butt we won’t be able to tell it is him!

    Bill, the argument is flawed:

the idea is this: a liberal will pull some stupid shit and the conservatives will ride in to save the day.

let’s say that “liberal” is McCain(it doesn’t have to be a democrat), if he does pull SOME(NOT ALL) stupid, liberal shit, that will still reinvigorate the conservative base. The liberal shit he pulls will be slight comparatively and damage control will be small as well… If he does pull liberal shit, the liberals will have nothing to rally against for that next election, since he was “liberal”

Let’s use an economic curve to explain this… when the curve begins going down towards a recession, the idea is to take actions that make the trough of this curve as slight as possible, that way the curve can begin climbing once again towards the positive… it will go back up faster and will have a greater chance of reaching the peak it had before or exceeding that peak.

if your plan to fight a recession is to plummet the trough as far as possible, when the peak finally does start to climb again… the time frame is much longer, it has a much further distance to travel, and has a much lower chance of reaching the peak it had prior, let alone exceeding it…

I see CONSERVATISM as a mirror to the economic curve… it cannot just continue to go up… there will always be retractions based on public opinion… I argue that I would rather the Republican control the peaks and valleys of CONSERVATISM than the democrats…

PS: Bill, you’re the dirtbag, you dirtbag

    BILL

Whoa, whoa, there BILL! Settle down a bit… Here, have a  and let’s talk like gentlemen. It’s hard to exchange ideas when you start attacking people like that… Why so offended? Are you actually Bill Cunningham by chance?…

Look probably the majority of us here, will agree with you about the “Gang of 14″ thing and I know for a fact that the vast majority of people here are Conservatives, but we each bring something different to the table and that is always beneficial to our common goal…

All you’ve done on this post so far is walked in and said “I’m gonna kick all your asses then run down there and fuck me one of them cows.” Meanwhile we’re all looking at each other and thinking, “Hey, let’s leave BILL up here on the hill and walk down there and fuck all of them cows while BILL watches”!

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it… Hippie!
