Rockstar, baby…

SEATTLE — Starbucks is closing the doors at its 7,100 stores across America for a brief barista re-education.

CEO Howard Schultz announced the 3-hour closure starting at 5:30 p.m. local time Tuesday to energize 135,000 employees.

He wants baristas to share their passion for making espresso, or as he says, “to pull the perfect shot, steam milk to order and customize their favorite beverage.”

Schultz says it’s part of his refocusing on the coffee customer experience.

Since the chairman returned as CEO in January he has been making changes to revive Starbucks’ growth.

You know with all the talk of the economy, the simple fact that people can afford to go out and buy a 7 dollar cup of coffee and that starbucks is still in bussiness says alot about our standard of living, and the resilience of our economy.

Do you mean to tell me the art history grad student needs MORE education to make a FUCKING CUP OF COFFEE!?!? I’ll buy mine from Tim Horton’s or Dunkin.

    Stupid hippies.

I’m a Dunkin’ Donuts coffee drinker myself … My (Dr./surgeon) sister, who has MORE $$$ than me, keeps the Starbucks in the Georgia area(s) in business …

 RojoNixon; Ya Mussolini my favorite historic tyrant. Ever see him on the balcony harranguing the faithful, stepping back a few feet, folding his arms and nodding his head in approval of himself? It is one of the most classic quick flim shots I have ever seen of the WW2 era dictator yahoos. It’s great. Pompous asshole that he was. I think he was a caffine freak.

I know of the best Indy coffee shop in No VA. I know the owner. One Smart lady. She was a nuclear engineer who worked for the US dismantling Russian nukes after the fall of the Soviet Union. She got tired and decided to chase after her dream of running a coffee shop. Roasts and makes her own blends…the perfect drink for any day.

The only problem is that you have to fight around the ass-wipe leftists who wander around there aimlessly … :gun:
