Surge Continues To Succeed, So MSM Reduces Iraq Coverage

Surprised?

From Newsbusters.org:

After months of improving security in Iraq, the big network morning shows on Friday cited one horrific suicide bombing as proof that “mayhem and misery are back in Baghdad,” as CBS correspondent Mark Strassmann put it. But over the last five months, the broadcast networks have consistently reduced their coverage of Iraq, as if the story of American success in Iraq is less worthy of attention than their old mantra of American failure in Iraq.

Media Research Center analysts tracked all coverage of the Iraq war on the ABC, CBS and NBC evening newscasts from September 1 through January 31, and we documented a steady decline in TV coverage of Iraq that has coincided with the improving situation in Iraq. Back in September, the three evening newscasts together broadcast 178 stories about the war in Iraq; in January, that number fell to just 47, a nearly fourfold decrease.

I am having a hard time containing the shock I am feeling after reading this report.

Couldn’t a strong case for treason be made against these news outlets at this point. I think it would be eye opening if the FBI did a full investigation into the inner circles, and workings of these “journalists”.

Beers to the first prosecutor to file charges against one of these pukes.

Except when something/someone blows up … Then “it’s on!” again with the shittin’ MSM:

Good news in Iraq just doesn’t jive with the progressive socialist hate-America first….news media outlets. That’s why I don’t pay them any mind anymore. They’re useless tools. Or useful idiots if you are a Howard Zinn devotee…or a jihadi…

    Thank God for the Internet.

Just more if it bleeds it leads journalism! If it’s not bad it’s not news.

FOXNews is the only channel that reports positive stories from the War with any regularity.

Dem’s and the liberal media don’t want you to know that Fallujah was safer last night then just about any similar sized city in the US.

Well we know it gets less coverage than it use to at this site…just saying
