February 16th, 2008 at 5:00 pmI think Scientology stinks as much as the next guy, but last time I checked, the 1st and 14th amendments prohibit the government “taking action against the church.” And this talk of using “the government as our tool to exercise our strength” sounds a lot scarier than a bunch of money-grubbing con artists. If the Church of Scientology has committed crimes, then prosecute them as you would any other criminal group, but we shouldn’t conflate stupid beliefs with criminal acts.
