February 19th, 2008 at 10:09 amBefore anyone starts saying that it is about time, this is the weakest thing that my state’s law makers could do.
Our beloved govenor, John Huntsman Jr., during the first portion of his term flew to Mexico and met with V. Fox, former Pres. of Mex., and in effect, concluded a treaty with him. The jist of this “understanding” said that sure your folks can come here; naw, we won’t bother them.
Now, I am sure that you are saying, “Wait just one fucking minute…” and you would be right. It still doesn’t change the fact that a sitting gov. and former ambassador (to where ever)met with a forgien government and did business. Go figure.
