Westboro Baptist Freaks Picket Brianna’s Reno Funeral

It’s Sunday, I’ll preach:

These people are modern-day Pharisees. They point out all of the “Evil-doers” and heap condemnation on people for violating “God’s Commandments” all the while oblivious to the fact that they neglect the most important of God’s principles…

Jesus addressed these types:

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.” -Matt 23:23.

These guys were so religious, that they gave a tenth (tithe) of everything they had, right down to the very spices in their kitchens, but Jesus said they neglected the greatest commandments of all: Loving God, and loving your neighbor.

These Westboro pukes are suffering from Plankeye and Camelthroat.

Disgusting. This poor girl was a victim of pure evil. The Westboro pukes held signs that read “Pray for More Dead Kids,” “Don’t Worship the Dead” and “God Sent the Killer.”

I’m just shaking my head.

RENO, Nev.— More than 3,000 mourners gathered Saturday night to remember a 19-year-old college student believed killed by a serial rapist as a loving, caring woman with many friends and a winning personality.

Brianna Denison’s body was found in a Reno field on Feb. 15. Police said she was abducted Jan. 20 and strangled by a man linked to two earlier attacks on the edge of the University of Nevada, Reno.

Outside the memorial service, several members of a fundamentalist Kansas church faced off against more than 150 counter-demonstrators.

The standoff, which occurred during a fierce snowstorm, ended peacefully when police escorted the three protesters associated with the Westboro Baptist Church away from the convention center, Sgt. Chris Lange said.

Church officials said they targeted the city because local law enforcement officers failed to protect church members who picketed a Jan. 26 memorial service there for a soldier who was killed in Iraq.

On Saturday, the three protesters waved placards reading “Pray for More Dead Kids,” “Don’t Worship the Dead” and “God Sent the Killer.”

Counter-demonstrators said they strongly disapprove of the church’s message and tactic of picketing outside memorial services.

“For them to come out and target tragedies like this, I don’t think it’s right,” Greg Bailor Jr. said. “There’s enough emotions as it is.”

When is someone going to do something to these people? Im serious if they showed to protest the death of one of my family members or friends there would be hell to pay.

These people are supposed to be church members yet in reality God doesnt ‘hate’ anyone. nor does he encourage others to hate. or to condemn people, thats not our job. They are sick and shouldnt be protected by the first amendment. this isnt free speech, its pure evil and hatred

The WBC just got done attempting to protest not to far from me at NIU. Freedom of speech is one thing, but what they are doing is hiding behind a religious book in order to spread their hate.

They love the anger people have towards them. They really do. The only way to actually cripple them is to turn their World upside down.

My site http://Anarchology.org has a section devoted to dealing with that group.

I wonder if these heave piles protest their own church members’ funerals as well? Maybe they need some of their own medicine? All I know is they don’t speak for God. Of course, we already knew that. Total hosers.

Not to try and segue this into another topic, but think about how long these scumbags have been jabbing pitchforks into the hearts of grieving people…and they are still doing it! What does this say about our country? That we’re tolerant? Suddenly, tolerance seems like a vile trait that should be stricken from social conduct. To taunt somebody who has lost a loved one, a serviceperson and now a poor innocent girl cut down by a vile rapist murderer. And these bastards find glee in that?!

A bounty should be placed on all their heads, and let the winner take the spoils. I have no respect for them whatsoever. This kind of behavior, done in another country, would be met with immediate and irreversible violence. It is not even slightly to our credit that such a fate does not befall these scum. It is shameful that such people exist, and doubly shameful that it is tolerated!

May somebody mow then all down with machine gun fire, and let it make the internet so I can watch!

personally I think these guys are really muslims looking to make christianity look bad. This doctrine has never existed in offical christian circles the natinal baptist churches ought to move to sue this “church” to change its name at least. Do they do anything that woud be considered charitable, if not they shouldnt even have the label “church” or should we call the KKK a church?

I’m thinking a well placed lightning bolt during one of the WBC outdoor anti-funeral gatherings would take out just about all of them at once …

Each time these thoughtless publicity hounds protest they minimize their causes more and people lose more respect for them. It was beautiful Brianna’s day, not theirs. It is these twisted people who worship death, not those who mourn the passing of a lively, beautiful young woman. If they truly respected life they would allow people to pay their respects to Brianna in peace
