Breaking: Bush Shreds, Vows Veto Of House Security Bill
WASHINGTON — The White House is firing fresh criticism at terrorist surveillance legislation proposed by House Democrats.
President Bush plans to make a statement about the measure Thursday morning. The White House complains that the Democrats’ version does not give legal protection to telecommunications companies that helped the government eavesdrop on their customers without court permission after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Already about 40 lawsuits have been combined and now are before a federal judge in California.
Bush plans to say lawmakers need to work on legislation he can sign that gives the intelligence community the necessary tools.

Serves him and them right. Break the laws just cause You want to…take the hit. Laws exist for a reason, not to be ignored. Only 250 more days thank goodness.
