Democrats Hit Bush On Iraq
The Hill:
As the war in Iraq begins its sixth year, “it is tragic to think what might have been,” Sen. Robert Menendez (N.J.) said in the Democratic radio address Saturday.
Democrats have been hounding President Bush and his Republican party all week about Iraq, as Wednesday marked the five-year anniversary of the U.S.-led invasion of the country.
“In 2003, President Bush took us into war on the wings of a lie. With each passing year, we’ve heard the same false promises of victory, the same excuses for failure from the Iraqi government, and the same refusal from President Bush to admit his mistakes,” Menendez said.
In a radio address that mainly commemorated Easter weekend, Bush also acknowledged the burden carried by the military personnel who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan, calling special attention to those who died. Bush drew an Easter analogy between the sacrifices of soldiers and the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, which Bush called “a sacrifice that transcended the grave and redeemed the world.”
Of the soldiers, Bush said, “On Easter, we remember especially those who have given their lives for the cause of freedom. These brave individuals have lived out the words of the Gospel: ‘Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.’ And our Nation’s fallen heroes live on in the memory of the Nation they helped defend?”
Mendez is a rascist dick who voted for the war. Screw the un-American, coward, bin-laden loving Democrat party. When is at least one of those a holes going to grow some balls?
Second verse same as the first.
March 23rd, 2008 at 6:33 amThere used to be an old saying in America that you can’t argue with success. Guess the Dhimoids never heard that expression before huh?
Incidently Dhimoids. those same “lies” you keep talking about regarding Iraq, were the same “lies” you assholes told in the 90’s when Bubba was in office.
The only difference is that Pres Bush acted on your Dhimi intel (which you refer as lies” while Billy Bob (aka the Zipper Skipper) and all your Dhimoid Congressional colleagues just talked a good game.
So F-you Menendez you lying sack of shit.
March 23rd, 2008 at 8:02 amDethstar, You’re right on! These people are the ultimate cowards. They couldn’t, and wouldn’t fight their way out of a flash paper bag even if they had a lighter in hand. If given the opportunity, which they seek in the fall by electing the most liberal, left-wing, racist, socialist ever to run for President….God help us all!
March 23rd, 2008 at 10:46 amOh yeah… what “might have been”… We could have killed another half-million children with sanctions while living in “peace”. How fucking glorious would that have been?
I have a hard time coming up with anything more despicable than casually killing off children because you can’t be bothered to actually solve the problem, but that seems to be a fundamental plank of the democrats’ position on Iraq. Assholes, one and all.
