Dutch Businesses Threaten To Sue Wilders Over “Fitna”

THE HAGUE— Dutch businesses Saturday threatened to sue far-right lawmaker Geert Wilders if his anti-Islam film led to a commercial boycott, as several more Muslim countries condemned it.
“I don’t know if Wilders is rich, or well-insured, but in the case of a boycott, we would look to see if we could make him bear responsibility,” Bernard Wientjes, chairman of the Dutch employers’ organisation VNO-NCW, told the newspaper Het Financieel Dagblad.
“A boycott would hurt Dutch exports. Businesses such as Shell, Philips and Unilever are easily identifiable as Dutch companies,” he was quoted as saying.
Malaysia’s former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad suggested a boycott on Saturday, echoing a similar call by media in Jordan.
“If we boycott Dutch products, they will have to close down their businesses,” Mohamad told reporters. “If the world’s 1.3 billion Muslims unite and say they won’t buy, then it (the boycott) will be effective.”
Since the release of the 17-minute documentary “Fitna” on the Internet on Thursday, Muslim nations including Malaysia and Singapore have condemned the film, as has UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
Although there were no mass disturbances in the Netherlands, in Utrecht two cars were set ablaze overnight, with a slogan calling for the death of Wilders.

If they want to see a boycot, keep up that dhimmi shit and see what happens.
March 31st, 2008 at 1:01 pmI guess “balls” are in short supply in the Netherlands. The 1.3 billion Muslims aren’t the whole world. The US buys plenty of Dutch products. If the world doesn’t want Dutch oil…hey no problem…bring it here.
March 31st, 2008 at 1:12 pm“That film falsly depicts muslims as violent, hostile, manipulative and unstable, and while all true muslims know that this is the furthest thing from the truth, we muslims won’t stop setting shit on fire and threating to cut off that infidels head untill you do what we tell you to do, Alah Akbar…”
I just made that up, but it kind of fits huh?
March 31st, 2008 at 1:13 pmConsidering only 0.2% of their exports go to Muslim countries, they should be thanking him. It had the potential to raise awareness of the people who actually buy their crap.
March 31st, 2008 at 1:21 pmYou know, I would be very surprised if muslim extremists were actually capable of peacefully boycotting something. The truth is, they can’t. There will always be psychos well within their ranks that murder and impose their will through fear. They couldn’t even peacefully boycott Rushdie’s book. They are not disciplined or sophisticated enough to embrace even such a simple concept.

****
MY SENTIMENTS EXACTLY!!!
I’ve been drinking nothing but Carlsberg ever since the Mo cartoons were released. I’d really like to know if Europe depends more on muzzie business or western business. If it’s muzzie money they want, then go ahead and keep up the dhimmi shit! I will happily boycott any country’s products (western country or muzzie!) that predicates its business on religious grounds!
When I hear crap like this “We’re afraid of losing money by offending terrorists,” I know where NOT to spend my money!
France pissed us off and lost hundreds of millions in tourist and produce revenue not purchased by Americans. If the Dutch want to alienate themselves from the west by pandering to the muzzie riyal, then they can damned well accept the consequences.
(all Carlsberg!)
March 31st, 2008 at 5:17 pmThis is what greed and fear and unpatriotic views do to a nations’ citizens.
March 31st, 2008 at 6:25 pmShame on these Dutch Yahoos. No balls to stand up to the freaking Muzzies. Grow a pair.
