Politico:

Obama campaign praises Wallace, says Fox has been “deeply irresponsible”

From the campaign’s blog:

We appreciate Chris Wallace for doing his job as a tough but fair journalist on a network that has been deeply irresponsible over the last week in its unrelenting and sensationalistic coverage of Sen. Obama.

Sen. Obama gave the speech he did on Tuesday because he believes that Americans are ready for a thoughtful, mature discussion about race, and are hungry to move past media-generated controversies that distract from the struggles they face in their everyday lives.

If Fox News wants to play clips of the same offensive sound bites every day from now until November, that’s their right, but that type of coverage does a disservice to their viewers and to a nation that is facing serious challenges that merit thoughtful and honest reporting.

My racist Rev. is A-OK … But Fox News is “deeply irresponsible” for talking about him?

Yeah … THAT’S the fucking twisted logic we need running this country.

What’s good for BO is bad for the US. I wouldn’t be measuring for drapes yet and you’ll have to tell the REVrand he can’t move into the Lincoln bedroom.

    Typical politician B.S.
Blame somebody else for the trouble that you have brought upon yourself for sitting in the racist-bigot church for twenty years.
I can’t wait till election day in Nov. so we don’t have to hear anything about O’Bambam and Billery for a long, long time.

Thank God & Rupert Murdoch for Fox News Channel or we’d have no national vetting of the lefts darling Barack Hussein Obama al-islam.

“Sen. Obama gave the speech he did on Tuesday because he believes that Americans are ready for a thoughtful, mature discussion about race, and are hungry to move past media-generated controversies that distract from the struggles they face in their everyday lives. ”

So, the fact that he was being called out for attending bigoted tirades on Sundays had nothing to do with it?

When did people here in America become so fucked up in their logic?
Its all the Republicans & Conservatives fault again way of thinking -
    How screwed up is that!
Another case of not taking responsibility for your own actions on Obama and Wright and the retarded left and Democrats in this country.

    Obama is deeply irresponsible.

He chooses to avoid news anchors interviews of all sorts, especially with the folks at Fox News. One might think he can’t handle the pressure of interviews from those not convinced he is the anointed one. If he can’t handle that pressure, he certainly can’t handle the job of the presidency of the U.S.

And, then as he leaves the media out of contact with him, he takes offense to the media doing their homework and drawing their own conclusions since he gives them nothing but happy-faced spin. That is his irresponsibility.

He must be afraid American voters will actually see who he really is and how he’d really act in real interviews with folks who are trying to draw him out. It is the responsibility of every serious candidate to let all media do their jobs. He is too afraid to do that evidently.

    He is a Manchurian candidate.
