** 30/3/2008: Liveleak Update **
On the 28th of March LiveLeak.com was left with no other choice but to remove the film “fitna” from our servers following serious threats to our staff and their families. Since that time we have worked constantly on upgrading all security measures thus offering better protection for our staff and families. With these measures in place we have decided to once more make this video live on our site. We will not be pressured into censoring material which is legal and within our rules. We apologise for the removal and the delay in getting it back, but when you run a website you don’t consider that some people would be insecure enough to threaten our lives simply because they do not like the content of a video we neither produced nor endorsed but merely hosted.
If the filth called Muslims Jihadis fuck this one up again, we have it permanently built into our own system for viewing here.
Be respectful of others and their opinions. Inflammatory remarks and inane leftist drivel will be deleted. It ain’t about free speech, remember you’re in a private domain. My website, my prerogative.

So, now they’d rather be blown up, than be called pussies all over the web? Well that’s pretty fucking weak! The way I see it they let everyone who had the balls to post the film test the waters and now they are trying to act tough by doing what they should have in the first place? Fucking weak!
Maybe I’m being too critical, there are a lot of Posters and Moderators that I like at LL (rarely that I agree with), but the foundation for maintaining Freedom can only be laid by standing on the solid principles that Freedom requires no matter what the situation is… This has been a test of the free speech claims of LL and on the scales of my opinion they have been found wanting!

The thing that pisses me off the most about them pulling Fitna is because they have no problem hosting the jihadi videos, showing them blowing up American troops but when it came to this video they just pulled it. but thats right, us Americans dont send in death threats so its ok to show those videos.

Regardless of the removal due to “threats”, I still think LL had major balls to initially post it knowing that death threats from muslim nutbags would inevitably result, and then post it again after such threats were confirmed…
March 31st, 2008 at 8:31 amThe thing is, Fitna could almost be a typical jihadist recruiting video with a little editing (leaving the Qur’an quotes in, of course). There’s not much reason for them to really be upset about it (other than alerting the kaffir to what they are really up to).

March 31st, 2008 at 8:35 amForgiveness is a wonderful thing, we all need it from time to time and should offer it in kind , but an apology should always precede it… The reason this is problematic is that there is an unwritten rule at LiveLeak that “You never say your sorry” because that is the the best way to get jacked up in an apology parody video…
No I can’t blame them for being concerned, but that they didn’t know there would be death threats is not at all accurate… Because of this video Geert Wilders and the web hosting company were receiving threats long before it was even released… The European press covered this extensively and LiveLeak posted stories about the Islamic reactions prior to the release… That is precisely what made it so controversial and ultimately the holy grail of Fuck Islam Films that it’s become… My issue is that they didn’t stand by the commitment that they had made when knowing this, they placed it on the front page as a featured item…

if your website was being attacked constantly by DDOS and DOS attacks, you’d probably pull it too solely to make sure the massive amounts of content you have isn’t completely destroyed, lost ect. If on top of that your staff was being threatened, and you believed them to be in danger you probably would to. What else could they have done? It’s not like the chickenshits would have ever gone face to face with anyone at liveleak. Probably just would have sent some pussy ass mail bomb.
At least they put it back up.

As someone that doesn’t know all the specifics at LiveLeak I will keep my nose out of their biz and stick to my own affairs. Each is free to form their own opinions.
Which leads me to the following thought:
This demand of silencing LiveLeak by jihadists, terrorists, fascists is anything but an acknowledgement of the God-given right of freedom to man…all men.
Consequently it sickens me when many in our media and others refer to some terrorists as “freedom-fighters.”
These so-called freedom-fighters couldn’t be further from someone that struggles to provide true freedom.
Best I can tell, the jihadists obstruction to the God-given right of freedom to every individual is what seperates the jihadist’s perverse interpretation of their religion from every major religion, including Islam. And that in and of itself should be an affront to every true Muslim beleiver.
However, as long as the media, leftist democrats and others in this country continue to describe terrorists, whether they be in the West Bank, Afghanistan, Pakistan or Iraq as freedom-fighters, Muslims that worship a faith based on the practice of love for all of God’s creation with a determination of peaceful coexistence with all races and faiths, will be at a severe disadvantage in asserting their power in the Muslim world. The media in effect has neutered the moderate Muslim voice.
And that is why it is so important for the West to continue the fight against Islamofacism in Iraq, Afghanistan, etc where most Muslims (which has been demonstrated by the Anbar Awakening and elsewhere), have seen first-hand the fairness, friendship and eagerness to establish trust and friendship by our military men and women and are now eager to build on these new relationships with those of other religions and nationalities who are not the demons Islamofascists have made them out to be.
And that is why it is equally so important that Fitna be shown to the world. So that all of those in the world that are unaware of the perverse religion Islamofascists follow can see with their own eyes and be reminded that these savages shown in the film are anything but…..freedom-fighters.
