My personal belief as to why Slick Willy didn’t join the Military was because he’d have to take the Military aptitude Test, (MAT).
Willy has a photographic memory and can speed read at several thousand words per minute, like Matt Damon’s character in “Good Will Hunting”.
Willy can quickly read the definitive works on any subject and then repeat what he simply read and sound like a fucking genius…which he’s not even close to.
I believe Willy knows his IQ is well below his hero’s, JFK, whose IQ was 117 (USN MAT score), which is VERY bright, but not close to genius as Willy is claimed to be at.
Willy is no where close to JFK’s IQ, and to Willy that’s unacceptable.

a high Iq means that you can understand quicker the logical knowledge of a given item at a moment of your life ; it doesn’t say that you have a global vision and intuition, which is necessary to l a supposed leader
